Copal Tree is an amazing place. Nestled on top of a hill in the heart of the rainforest Rooms are very private and they have screened balconies that place you in the heart of the rainforest. Staff are so friendly and helpful. So many activities. Did a birding class in the morning and saw keelbilled toucans and collated aracaris steps from our room. Would definitely come back for a return trip.

This is the second time i've stayed at copal and when I visit punta Jordan, that is where I intend to stay. I wish they had local cuisine such as rice and beans and stew chicken though. Nonetheless, I thoroughly enjoyed my stay.

Outstanding stay at Copal Tree Lodge! What a wonderful and special place, with fantastic food and service. We stayed in the Canopy Suite and loved the views from both the room and the infinity pool. We will definitely be back and highly recommend it to everyone!

Amazing property in the jungle with lots of wildlife and insects and bugs that you never see in the united states, small group excursions that are pricey but also cool, decent food and drinks and amazing staff

We watched the Hollow monkeys for hours there were so many of them in the trees and listening to them at night was simply beyond anything you can imagine the customer service at the resort was amazing and we felt like we were in heaven

I was a solo traveler and had an excellent time! The room was beautiful and I really appreciated the hammock in the screen porch and the shower view of the jungle! Staff was so friendly, lots to do but also beautiful venue to relax as well. Would recommend the healing nature walk with Elon to learn about native jungle plants used for medicinal and traditional healing!

The Copal Tree Lodge was fantastic. The rooms were extremely well taken care of and updated. The staff was professional, knowledgeable about not only the hotel but Belize culture which was really very interesting. We enjoyed learning about Belize from the staff. We loved the ease of booking excursions there at the hotel. It was my birthday and the staff, specifically Nate, Karen, Ducky, and Juan treated me like a queen. My birthday celebration was so special thanks to the staff. My husband and I are coming back to this beautiful beautiful lodge. The only negative was we only saw one monkey and didn't get to see the Toucan. So we are coming back to see these as soon as possible.

Our stay began with welcoming staff providing us with thorough information regarding our stay, gifts and a yummy welcome drink. The accommodations were excellent, we especially liked the shower overlooking the jungle. We only stayed 2 nights but did get a chance to do the mixology class and snorkel with the chef. Both were excellent. My favorite was waking up to the noises of the jungle that included howler monkeys and birds. So peaceful and a great adventure.

Staff was very friendly. Views from the room, restaurant, and infinity pool were amazing, and the room was very spacious and comfortable. However, the shower only had hot water for 5-10 minutes. The trolley to the river was broke, so we walked up and down 180 steps every time we went to the river and hiking trails. At the river, there was no staff to assist with launching the kayaks. Overall, hotel provides a great experience. Just be prepared to climb alot of steps and bring plenty of mosquitoe repellant. You'll also need to bring your own screens if you want to watch tv.

A Magical Escape at Copal Tree Lodge

My stay at Copal Tree Lodge was genuinely extraordinary. Upon arriving in Punta Gorda's Toledo District, I was captivated by the area's breathtaking beauty. The journey to the hotel felt like entering a hidden paradise, surrounded by lush greenery and vibrant plants. The lodge's outdoor spaces are stunning and awe-inspiring, with verdant gardens and towering trees that create a peaceful, relaxing atmosphere. Each area seamlessly blends with the natural environment, enhancing its charm. The staff was exceptionally kind and attentive, going above and beyond to ensure our stay was perfect. Their warm hospitality made us feel genuinely welcome. During my visit with friends, we enjoyed delightful Copalli rum and delicious meals celebrating local flavors. Copal Tree Lodge has become my go-to destination for escaping daily life, offering tranquility and a deep connection with nature. I can't wait to return and create more cherished memories in this remarkable retreat!

The property is surrounded by beautiful jungle with great hiking trails that I used pretty much every day! You truly are in the middle of a lush green surrounding, with monkeys in the trees and birds all around you! The kindness, positive attitude and helpfulness of the staff made all the difference! Everyone was extremely helpful, always smiling and paid attention to details! Our cabin (#11) was beautiful and due to it being a little elevated it felt very private! The excursion they had were a little pricey but the massages are reasonable (definitely recommended)! We did a half day fishing with a fantastic guide (Jose) who was so passionate and knowledgeable about fishing, it was a great day and the chef even prepared our fish for us that evening! Food was a bit pricey but delicious, we several times went into town to try local restaurants as well!

I absolutely love this resort and their staff. They are the most welcoming and thoughtful people. It was my bday celebration and I came to a room decorated with balloons, flowers and bday sign made of of pedals. The rooms are private clean greatly ventilated and good lighting. MY FAV was the wall to wall shower and a huge window overlooking the jungle. I mean heaven. Dont even get me started on the food. When they say farm to table they mean it. Everything was so fresh and delicious. Special gratitude to our masseuse Marie and Veronica they were amazing. I swear after Marie finished my massage my lower back have never felt so good.

Didn't live up to our expectations

The staff are very friendly though the service is variable and often slow. The furniture in the rooms needs updating. Inconsistent pricing with the wines. Different price in the bar to the restaurant. 30 dollor difference. They had ran out of a Cantena Alta Malbec and offered as a standard Catena Malbec at the same price, despite representations from us that this was clearly wrong. We feel the tours are over priced. The problem is that they have you as a captive audience as there are no alternative options to take up due to the remoteness of the location
