Old Orchard Country Home

Very spacious home with a full kitchen, large living room, three bedrooms, and one and a half baths. Enjoy morning crisp air in the pecan orchard and the birds coming in the evenings under the covered carport in a wooden swing. It is just 13 minutes from Hattiesburg and just 3 miles from Hwy 98. Take a short half mile drive to Purvis to grab a bite to eat. There are several restaurants, from chain restaurants to mom & pop restaurants that you will want to come back to eat at again. We are 5 minutes from the golf course that you will enjoy!
Our home is equipped with everything you would need for a comfortable stay, from dishes, pots and pans, and towels.

Great property, and stay!

We had a great stay at this location! The property was as described, very nice, well maintained, and very clean. I recommend this location to others, and will definitely consider it for future stays in that area.

Great house!

We stayed here as a family of 4 for a soccer tournament. It was perfect with plenty of space to spread out. We would definitely stay here again.

We laid a family member to rest in our hometown. Many cousins and family came together. We used this home as a gathering place. To visit and reminisce. Looked at old pictures and caught up on each life. We were all very comfortable. One cousin rented the bungalow to be close. Just perfect!!

Comfortable stay

Pros: clean inside, comfortable bed, magnifying makeup mirror in full bath, dehumidifiers, plenty of parking, a nice covered outdoor eating/visiting area, house was stocked with TP, paper towels, dish & laundry soap, sponge, kitchen towels, coffee & even some snacks! Cons: the exterior of the house was very dirty and the bushes were overgrown. There is no electrical outlet in the 1/2 bath for hairdryer, etc.

Great location for our needs

The house was very cute. The integrity of the floors/ceilings was questionable. Definitely needs work. The sink in the half bath is broken, in the full bath it is missing a cover on the hot water handle and looks pretty gross. The kids LOVED the chalk board wall. There are lots of seasonings in the cabinets, and like 6 syrups, so look at stock before you grocery shop for your stay. All the beds and furniture were comfy.

Stay in Purvis

This our 2nd time staying here. Its close to family and town. 15 minutes to Hattiesburg. Love being able to sit under the carport and visit with family and friends.

Pleasant stay.

I was staying in the area during the week for work, the house was spacious and pleasant. It is located a few minutes from Purvis' main strip and about 20 minutes for Hattiesburg. I would stay here again.

13th Birthday Slumber Party

We had the best time! We were in town for the Bunny Hop Barrel Race at the Multi-Purpose center and my daughters 13th birthday. We appreciate the owners letting us drop our cold stuff by the house before check in time. It truly helped us a lot!! We had 4 girls and two adults and the house was perfect for our stay.

Pecan Orchard home in Purvis

The property was very clean and it was easy to communicate with the owner. It was also in a convenient location between Laurel and Gulfport, which were two areas we wanted to explore. The house has all that is needed but is in need of a little love. One of the faucets in second bath did not work and the only water that came from the hot water faucet was cold water. All in all we enjoyed our stay.

The house was in a little disarray. Parts of ceiling were torn, shower was rusted and leaking, back glass door lock kept falling out and locking, half bath lights flickered and toilet was loose, and the step from the kitchen to the entry room is dangerous and should be painted a different color other than black and nailed down so it doesn't move. My mother fell soon as we got there.

Big family near Hattiesburg

This was a great find to accommodate a big group of family for the arrival of a grand child. We had 3 great grandparents in their 70-80’s who had some mobility needs. The walk in shower and grab bars were fantastic! We were only 12 miles from grand child and the drive was very pleasant. Purvis grocery and food were all convenient so I could cook for group and new mom at the house to carry food to her. Beds were comfortable. Being from the dry part of Texas I didn’t know what the de-humidifier was and thought I found a magical water making machine! Cannot compliment the host enough for her fast replies. Super sweet house. Loved that I could bring my older dog as well. Very reasonable price!! Stayed a whole week. Will definitely keep it in mind for future trips.
