"Everything was good or better than expected."

"Room was a bit small, but all we did was sleep there so it was fine. Mattress were a bit old."

"This was our second time staying and we were a little less happy with this visit opposed to the last time. I was disappointed that the pool was not heated, water was a bit "dingy" and my wife was grossed out over hair and other items floating on the stair end of the pool. "Pool towels" were the size of hand towels at best and the large circular table looked as if it had an old towel under one of the legs that had been there for a while as well as the entire table being loose and wobbly. The room was clean but neither of us felt the two double beds were as comfortable as the king we had on our last stay. We had an issue with our TV not working and one of the front desk personnel did immediately come to our room to correct the issue after I had to walk down to the front desk since the in room phone had no cord to connect, hence did not work (it was just sitting on the night stand between the beds). Overall, we were not totally happy with this visit."

"Room was in need of cleaning of surfaces and thorough vacuuming. Bed clean and comfortable. Noise of slamming doors in hallway and jumping on floor above room. Fabulous large heated outdoor pool perfect for lap swimming. Breakfast minimal. Poorly marked road into property parking. Friendly courteous staff."

"I love staying in the Colonial Houses every year. Just one quibble with my lovely Market Tavern upstairs room. The door opens onto the first step. You climb up a couple of steps to be able to turn around and close the door behind you. And you have to lean WAY OVER to reach the handle, and the deadbolt is inside the handle. Really very awkward. Maybe they should move up the handle."

"Everything was great. If you are expecting more modern amenities, you'll have standard wifi. Very nice being on the Colonial park ans surrounding area."

"Our room was clean. However, the hotel seemed a bit rundown. We also had to wait about 10 minutes to check in because there was nobody at the front desk. I was starting to get worried but finally someone came. I think he was the only one currently working. Also, most of the exterior doors, even though they had scanners for your key card, did not work and were propped open or did not close all the way. Although my room locked properly, it just was a weird feeling to think that anybody could just walk into the hotel. "

"This is a classy place . Great spa beautiful grounds . Colonial Williamsburg is right there . Everything is walkable We love this place !"

"If you're just staying a few nights, this place is sufficient for the price. Bed was comfortable. We had a mini fridge and microwave. Bathroom needed some repairs - the ceiling was falling apart and the room could use a good deep clean. The pool wasn't open yet, so we weren't able to use it. Overall, for the price it was okay. If we just need to stay one night, we will probably stay here again. Workers were nice, breakfast had a nice variety (yogurt, waffles, cereal, muffins, toast, juices). Convenient location and not far from Busch Gardens or grocery stores, fast food places, etc."
