Wonderful location on the Grand Allée, close to many restaurants and walkable to many top attractions. Spacious accommodations that allowed plenty of room for our multi-generational party of 6. One note: there is a stairway at the entry and a large interior stairway to the bedrooms, if stairs are a concern for you. Host was very responsive and helpful with our questions!

Positive: location was convenient and easy to walk to most of the key tourist areas to include old Quebec. Upstairs bathroom (remodeled), kitchen and furniture were clean and as advertised. Concierge was responsive to concerns and resolved as best they could. Needs more towels available. Negative: (as noted in older reviews that I wish I had read). This is a vintage home and has had many unfortunate attempts at upgrades over the years (eg downstairs bathroom). There is still a lot of deferred maintenance that should be resolved before using as a rental (see photos). Many of these have been noted in previous reviews: locks are difficult to use, broken windows in back just covered with wood, ceiling leaks, broken tiles in bathroom and badly leaning staircase (like walking in a fun house) and not resolved after given the feedback by paying customers. For us, the added frustration was having construction workers that showed up early and worked just outside the kitchen and the washer/dryer situation. You have to go outside and downstairs to use the washer/dryer in a shared area. You also cannot use it until after 5 pm. This should be changed on listing for accuracy. We then had our laundry soap and dryer sheets stolen or used by staff period of time (concierge did replace). As a rental owner, I feel strongly that you should not rent for income until key safety and basic elements are resolved and not while the home is under construction.

Beautiful property! Big enough for a group of 8 adults traveling together. The hostess, Nina was very responsive to all our inquiries and gave great recommendations for dining options and taxi’s. Quebec City was a beautiful friendly and historic place to visit. Highly recommend staying at La Mansion!

Great location and accessible to downtown. Parking was very convenient, directly in back alley. Owners/hosts were communicative and responsive (ie needing additional towels, check in questions). However, the property is quite old and not updated. The staircase was crooked (literally) and uncarpeted (only bottom pad) which was not particularly pleasant to walk on. The second floor was extremely creaky and you could not walk without the floorboards creaking loudly, making it difficult (almost comical) to walk to bathroom or go downstairs. Both kitchen and bathroom had old cleaning rags left behind, bathroom was old/cracked and dingy tiles. Apartment was large 3 full bedrooms, one of which had side bedroom/office, so plenty of space, but not what I would call cozy.
