Very cozy

The house had a lot of surprising features, like heated floors and nice carpet but something were a let down from the listing. The grill was a total mess—covered in cobwebs and filled with water. Spent an hour cleaning it before I felt comfortable using it. Most of the pots, pans and knives need to be replaced—just old and worn out—some useless. Also the mattresses are worn out, my back felt like I slept in a hammock for a week.Overall, it’s a nice property but maybe needs an update of some items. The location is good but it’s an awkward distance to town—too far for a family (small children) to walk but also feels too close to drive.

Fantastic lake and Mountain View

The butler is very helpful, nice and responsive. Very considerate pre check in communication and check in process. View from 3 rd floor is fabulous. The service and views make difference. Bedrooms and bathrooms are spacious. Indoor lift is convenient for carrying on luggage. There are still some aspects need to mention: no yard for kids to play, steep drive way from main road, indoor lift has no cover and has safety concern for young kids, mattress in two master beds are not quite comfortable. Overall, recommend this property to adults and big family without very young kids. Very beautiful holiday house.

Amazing!

We loved our stay at Q by the Lake. It had everything we needed and more for a family of 5. It’s in a great location for a lovely scenic walk into town or just a 5 min drive to town. We highly recommend this place and can’t wait to come back!

Beautiful house with spectacular views

The perfect house to recharge after a day on the ski fields - we quickly concluded that we would rather stay in at night and enjoy what the house offered, than eating out. Comfortable, welcoming and with all the facilities you could need. We will be back!

A dream house

My family and I stayed for couple of nights in Queenstown and had an amazing time at Q by the lake. The house is absolutely gorgeous and comfortable. We were on a group with 5 adults + 3 kids. The main reason to book this place was because of accessibility for my mum, she’s in a wheelchair and the house offers an elevator, giving her completely access to all levels. For an accessibility point of view, and for my mums requirements, the house could have couple of features to make a disable person life’s a bit easier, such as a roll in shower and a handrail in one of the toilets. The house is all carpeted and it also makes it a bit hard to manage the wheelchair, but nothing major. If you are looking for an accessible house, it may tick all the boxes, depending on your needs. Deborah and her team helped me since the beginning of booking with all dimensions of the doorways and height of beds to ensure the house was suitable for us and I have nothing but compliments for her professionalism and assistance, so make sure to ask her if you have any special requirements. If you are going to Queenstown with your family and have no special needs, this house is for you! More luxurious than any hotel available and the best view to lake wakatipu, without a doubt!
