if you can afford to stay somewhere else, stay somewhere else - i considered staying in my car over this place. this hotel is well below average and absolutely does not deserve anything above a 2 star rating. * off the beaten path: far from everything, renting a car is a must, the driver charges a lot of money and only accepts cash, taxis and ubers don’t come here * disconnect from reality: has wifi, but we lost power overnight which meant no wifi, no ac, no ability to contact anyone including people who work here * staff is friendly: probably the only positive i have regarding this hotel, but it appears no one is here overnight, they have a very young front of the house staff, and learn some spanish because they know little english * rooms are meh: big, has a fine bed, water is freezing to shower in, found a roach crawling around, will get cleaned upon request and when requested, there’s a 50/50 chance they’ll clean it * beach is beautiful: black sand beach which is cool, public and across the street, few plastic beach chairs that feel like they might break underneath you, not good for swimming * dog friendly: including strays which may sit right outside your door and bark all night long costa rica is beautiful and if you’re staying at this hotel, you’ll see a lot of it because you will want to be here as little as possible.

We were at the beachfront suite. It was very spacious - it included a full-size kitchen, a living area, a separate dining area, and two jumbo patios. Totally king-sized. These are the plus points. My bathroom (#7) had an issue. The toilet bowl was not filling up .. was leaking. Every time I had to lift the lid, apply my DIY techniques, and fill up the water. The restaurant closes at 9:30 PM - that's not the best. Bar closes at 10 PM, again, not the best. The pool was open till midnight - great. We stayed there for just one night. We felt bad because we had very little time to enjoy the property. However, we realized later that the place had very little to offer. The property was in a very secluded place, with a pathetic approach road (dirt road). The beach was also not suitable for swimming -we were warned. As long as you want to stay in the property and enjoy the property, this gets a thumbs up from me. If you are like me, who wants to stay put in a happening place, it's not optimal.

Das Hotel hat eine sehr ruhige Lage in unmittelbarer Nähe zum Strand. Dort waren wir fast allein. Der Strand ist ein paar Kilometer lang, gut für lange Spaziergänge am Wasser. Das Hotelpersonal war superfreundlich. Im Restaurant konnte man sehr gut essen. Der einzige Wermutstropfen ist, dass die Zimmer sehr hellhörig sind.

Propre et pres de la mer MAIS desertique. Seulement un autre couple de voyageurs dans tout le complexe. Resto / bar ferme a 8h et rien a faire sur le site ou autour. Piscine acceptable MAIS crabes traversent la rue de l'ocean a la piscine car ils aiment l'eau douce. Alors on peut pas se beigner le soir (fait noir a partir de 6h) car on il n'y a pas de lumiere dans la piscine alors on voit pas si crabes ou non. Aussi, mer dangereuse dans ce coin. Doit etre extrement prudent si on se veux se beigner. Coin dersertique... pas de voyageurs autour. On a demander pour un compensation si possible car on a decider de ne pas rester pour un autre soir... rien a faire la pour notre derniere journee au Costa Rica. On devait verifier et me revenir la dessus mais aucune nouvelle. Serveurs et securite = tres gentil mais receptioniste pas tres comprehensive. Elle indique qu'on peut se faire rembourser s'il y a qq chose d'inadequat exemple chambre. A mon avis, on a pas eu pour notre argent si on croit pouvoir se beigner et profiter du bar alors que ce n'est pas possible toute la soiree.

Un lugar tranquilo.

Estadia en el lugar fue buena, restaurante precios super normales, buen servicio al cliente, ubicacion hay que pasar la calle para estar en la playa, y el super mas cercano u otra opcion de comida, esta como a unos 5 a 7km de distancia. Lamentablemente en las noches encienden unas luces que iluminan distinstos colores y son muy molestas ya que las cortinas no son blackout y por ende entra toda la luz a las habitaciones (en el caso nuestro las superiores), por lo demas esta bien, la picina buena temperatura.

Close to beach is about all the good things to say. Large waves not for weak swimmers so my wife would not go in. Toilets backed up repeatedly, reported it before we went out for the day, was told it was fixed and if it continued to happen they would move us to another room but by time we got back after 5pm there was no one at the office to talk too.Room also had mold on the walls in the bathroom and one morning we had no water at all for a while. We ended up leaving two days early and went elsewhere. Went to the restaurant to eat a little after 5 pm and it was closed so decided to go down the street to eat, went got ready to go out after hiking all day and as we were leaving the two workers were opening it up. We said gee we thought you were closed. They told us they were on a break which lasted for a good 1/2 hr or so. All this and you had to drive a couple miles on a dirt road to get there...never again!
