What a beautiful setting in Quepos. The views from the room, pool, and dining area were perfect. It was quiet, well-kept, and very accommodating. The staff was friendly, we especially enjoyed Julia in the morning at breakfast.
First time in Quepos and we learned that, on the whole, it is difficult to get around but Issimo was helpful in getting us cars when needed. Also, from the looks of the town getting to the beaches doesn't always seem easy. Issimo had two, small beaches close by. The "difficult" hike mentioned on the website was perfect. Neither one of us is perfectly fit but by no means are we out of shape. The hike through the jungle was just perfect. I could imagine if you are out of shape it would be difficult, but you also don't need to be perfectly fit to make it. The quiet, peacefulness of that beach was worth it!
We realized that we aren't big fans of the open floor concept of the rooms, not having closed bathrooms could pose a challenge for some couples but we made it work. The hot tub was nice, though it did not get "hot" just warm. Which was fine for the climate!
