“Easy to find, clear instructions regarding keys, etc.. Not a huge amount of things nearby, apart from the nice beach. Perhaps a bit expensive for what it is, but in the summer the easier access to the beach must be a plus.”

“A great bedroom in a house that's full of character. En-suite shower-room with a fabulous shower. Warm and welcoming hosts. Fantastic breakfast with seriously good vegetarian options. Go there! We certainly will again. ”

“Wonderful welcome from the lovely receptionist and nice restaurant service at dinner. Beautiful, comfortable and clean room with great additions like coffee machine, tasty cookies, fan and lovely toiletries. Our only complaint was that breakfast was a bit slapdash with items like bread & orange juice having run out, wrong drinks brought out and a long wait for food.”

“The family room was lovely and well equipped for 2 adults and 2 children. A couple of niggles in that the blind was broken in the bathroom and the rubbish bins were a bit on the small side. Staff were really lovely and nothing was any trouble. Breakfast was delicious and we had 1 meal there which was great. Lovely setting next to the river. Would highly recommend”

“We were expecting a well maintained, boutique hotel, sadly it was not. Although refurbished in Nov 2014, the state of our room (1) lacked maintenance. Although each was relatively minor, when 10 issues are present, then the result is a disappointment. I relayed these to the receptionist on departure, and she seemed reluctant to seriously acknowledge the problem. This summed up the general feeling of laissez-faire.”

“The staff were excellent and nothing was too much trouble for them. The hotel is slightly dated but clean. Our room was a basic double with a rear yard view but was clean. Bathroom was good and a powerful shower. TV and tea making as expected. There's no parking and on street outside the hotel is £3 an hour. Free parking between 6pm to 9am but that still equates to £27 per day. I managed to find free on street parking up the hill, about a 10 minutes walk away. Hotel is bang in the middle of all……

“We were very lucky to get a parking spot as it was just on the road at the front of the building. Breakfast was excellent. Unfortunately the en-suite consisted of toilet and shower only - the wash hand basin was in the bedroom where there were no towel rails. The gentleman who greeted us was excellent as he had to do everything including cooking the breakfasts due to his manager being unwell.”
