Great hotel in need of a few upgrades.

Generally I enjoyed my stay at the hotel. The staff was very pleasant, the restaurant was fine, and the hotel was near a number of interesting sites. However, the hotel could benefit from a few minor but noticeable signs of aging. My recommendation to the hotel is to replace the hall carpet and elevator flooring, repaint the room walls, and reseal and paint the lobby roof, which is on display when taking the elevator. Also please, drop the elevator music, or replace it once in a while.

When I booked it to hotel.com they actually charge me the New Year’s Eve servicing fee but when I reach the property, they told me it is not included in there so I had to pay another $300 more so it is completely disaster Dishonesty everything.

Love the place

I have lived 24 years of my professional life all through 5 to 7 star hotels through out the world some for quite long stays running to months and some weeks. But, when it comes to India I purely shift the blame to the government having discouraging attitudes to the poor infrastructure development, poor standards, and highly overtaxed sector where in the Hotel is considered a luxury, the property owners have hardly money left behind after tax for the proper development of the property. India should wake up and think of promoting staycations lower taxes and increase volume of consumption from its own population and allow the property owners to re-invest into property. 30yrs I have seen government only milking the business seldom facilitating anything in this industry ! Having said, all that and the present COVID conditions, zeal for survival and to continue the business, gets all my respect. All services were exceptional, polite, quick and the rooms and linens were clean. Almost all staff were very polite and well behaved and had masks on during these times. Above all great view from the room of the sea. My room had few kinks but, it might have just happened my bad luck (the maintenance just need to be a little more observant)

A nice quality hotel right next to Kollam beach.

A nice quality hotel right next to Kollam beach. I had a room,on the 7th floor with a diagonal,view,of the beach. The room itself was well equipped and in good condition and clean. The bathroom was also well stocked with toiletries. The bed was a decent size and was very comfortable to me. The AC and WiFi both worked well. There is a restaurant on site, that had a buffet in the evening and a la carts breakfasts.

Very close to the beach. Beach gets very busy in the evenings. There is a garbage dump in front of the hotel. The locals set fire to the garbage on weekends and the hotel can fill with smoke if the wind blows towards the hotel.

We are staying here yearly and this year it was not so good.we still coming back because we found it was the only decent hotel around the quillon beach. Condition is detoriating.some part of bathtub chip off,sofa n curtain looked so old.think need make over.shower curtain so yellowish.as we came out from the lift at the 5th fl,the corridor was totally black,my son almost cried,so scarry.they tried to save energy..please..this is hotel.it was not to our satisfaction but i can say it was ok just to sleep.

Som europer i Indien har vi fået ekstremt god behandling. med smil, høflighed og serviceminded personale. Man får meget for pengene på denne hotel, såsom parkerings vagter åbner dør i bilen tager din bagage og lade dig ordne det praktiske med receptionen. Meget god oplevelse i for pengene i forhold til europeiske hoteller. Dog skal man huske på at give drikke penge til alle for deres arbejde, det er indisk kultur.

Quilon Beach

Situation of hotel was excellent, overlooking the beach. Public areas like lobby, dining room and bar were well kept and up to date, but corridors and bedrooms rather tired and grubby. Staff were very pleasant but many of them totally inefficient. The girl who cleaned our room omitted to replace at least one thing every day....e.g. hand towels(twice), toilet rolls, soap, shampoo, minibar items. Dining room staff very pleasant but many of them untrained although dining room manager was great. Food was good, however, and varied. Reception staff unable...or unwilling....to check us out the night before our 3am departure, even wishing to check minibar at midnight when we were getting up at 2am and needed some sleep. Their command of English wasn't impressive! We were charged for 2 minibar items we didn't even have..... they hadn't been replaced. Swimming pool in need of a make over although it was clean. Draining boards around it hid a mass of gunge and there was only room for 5 loungers on the inadequate deck. The hotel obviously does well with conventions, weddings etc, but the hotel guests are forgotten about.

Great comfort and eats on the beach

We were welcomed and offered an upgraded room. Great service in hotel. Could learn more about local tourist activities, but we did this on our own. Restaurant was simply outstanding.

million dollar views

This hotel is my home away from home when I visit Quilon. It has the most incredible views of one of the worlds most historic beaches: Kollam Beach, a place where Venetians, Portuguese and Dutch came from the 12th century onwards. So-the pleasant facilities are outweighed by the extraordinary views from the hotel's wonderful windows. The hotel is comfortable. I noticed the pool is well used. Staff very sweet. But I come and stay here for the views all day and night long. The dawn and sunsets. This beach is one of the most spectacular stretches of sand in the world, but it is not swimmable. And is a working beach. Still, a breathtaking place.
