This is a unique and fascinating hotel. Antiques, interesting collections and historical information displayed in glass cabinets on all 3 floors. Our room was large and decorated in a local theme. Breakfast was delicious and served on the roof top while taking in the amazing views of Quito. Highly recommend this hotel.

My room was very noisy. Loud music from other shops at 5:00 am. The same from late afternoon until 10:00 pm. The roof terrace was under construction. The staff are very friendly, and the room is very clean.

Great location, very helpful staff.
Nice spacious room and bathroom. Breakfast was very good.
It can be a bit noisy at night due to the location in the city centre but I would stay there again when in Quito.

Fueron muy atentos al esperarnos ya que llegamos pasadas 6:30 pm en quito a esta hora oscurecer, aunque no tiene estacionamiento hay dos a una cuadra y media, la propiedad en buenas condiciones adecuada.

Casa Alquimia preserves its colonial architecture and holds historical details that transport you back in time as you walk through its hallways. From its terrace, you can enjoy delicious breakfast or simply admire the city views with the Panecillo hill in the background. The rooms are spacious and have hot water, and you'll find water dispensers in the hallways so you can refill your bottles. Its location is great for exploring the city center or using it as a base for quick walking or driving excursions. Service was always attentive and friendly.
Notes:
- Bring cash to pay for the stay and avoid an additional 8.5% required if paying with credit card.
- Be mindful this location is right at the city center, with the usual noise level (from traffic and people) for such an area.

This hotel was so amazing! The staff were so kind and helpful all throughout. From ensuring someone was going to let me in and do a very late check in at 3:30 in the morning, to being able to hold our luggage, everyone at the Hotel Casa Alquimia was kind, courteous, and helpful. I remember feeling very sad when we had to check out, because I was so grateful for everyone’s kindness.
The rooms were massive: very clean, very comfortable, and very cozy. The location is also phenomenal and convenient to the touristic sites of Quito.
Ecuador collectively is a beautiful country! There is no doubt we are returning and will certainly be coming back to Hotel Casa Alquimia.

Beautiful hotel with great history. Immediate surrounding area is fine during the day but dangerous at night. No AC, so need to leave the balcony doors open at night but the area is loud all night long with traffic and people yelling. Booked room for 4 but only had a twin bed and a large bed which would accommodate 3- so sleeping was tight and uncomfortable. No wash cloths and needed to get toilet paper multiple times due to inadewuate amount. Breakfast is good in a lovely rooftop breakfast room. Purified water is always available in the hallways, which was great.

Amazing hotel in the historic district. Very convenient for walking. The only downside is the walls are thin and the area is busy with cars, buses end motorbikes. It was loud all night.

At entering another woman entered too and as my son heard a zipper being opened turned to the bags and noticed the woman leaving. He then noticed one of our backpack tops open. When we addressed it the young man he remarked that we should have been paying attention… we then asked to see the video in which the woman was around our bags blocking the view with an envelope. The young man claimed he saw nothing. If anything he should have been kinder as we were in his hotel when this happened. The rest of the staff was lovely!

Amazing location convenient to many historic center locations. Very clean property, very nice rooms, and breakfast every morning was quick and delicious. If you don't want noise from the street consider one of the rooms that does not face the square. Our room looked out to the square and we enjoyed that very much, and the balcony doors do well to decrease the noise (road noise decreases greatly after 8:30p). We enjoyed our stay very much and would be happy to visit again.

Excellent hotel! Great- facilities ia a wonderful location, the staff was friendly- and helpful and the breakfast was great! They also have a storage room which we made use of when we wanted to travel light.

Hotel con estilo colonial muy hermoso, muy lindo decorado, habitaciones limpias, comodas y amplias, camas comodas y baños grandes. Desayuno muy completo, delicioso y perfecto para comenzar el dia. El personal del hotel tanto en recepcion como en el area del desayuno muy amables, cordiales y serviciales. Ademas tienen perfecta ubicacion para llegar a los sitios turisticos y justo a una cuadra de la calle La Ronda donde se puede pasear y encontrar lugares para comer. Me encantó el lugar y de volver a Quito volveria a alojarme en este hotel.

Nice location in the historic center with a lovely dining area for breakfast overlooking el Panecillo.
Staff was welcoming, helpful and friendly. Fresh potable water was always accessible and everything was clean and inviting.

We loved our stay here! Breakfast every morning was excellent. Staff is friendly and kind. Our room was amazing. I would suggest, getting the double deluxe room. There was at least one room that did not have windows. For the difference in price, having a large, beautiful room and small balcony was well worth it. If we’re ever in Quito again, we will absolutely stay here and have already recommended it to someone else going. Its location is perfect as well. So close to everything!
