I don’t want to be offending but it was terrible

The room and furniture was outdated and needed maintaining especially the bed was terrible to sleep in since the mattress extremely soft. Bottom line I slept in the car and just used the bathroom and was very happy to leave!

Pool nur auf der Homepage verlockend!

Leider war der Pool mit zu wenig Wasser, wodurch die Umwälzpumpe nicht in Betrieb genommen werden könnte. Wasser verunreinigt und Pool-Brause ausser Betrieb.

I like this place. Friendly, helpful staff and surrounding beauty were the highlights for me. The hotel had everything I needed, and had personality as well. It's not a city hotel, but fits in perfectly with its surroundings, and had the wifi I needed.

A most charming and authentic countryside hotel, highly recommended. Only one hour's car drive away from Vienna, you will find yourself in the most amazing environment. Nature at its best. The Hotel is excellent, owner/director most accomodating and friendly. The countryside breakfast plays in its own league.

Fabulous breakfast, relaxing jacuzzis tub

We had a hard time find a hotel in the cities. I hoped on Hotels.com and came up with this secret hotel. It was dark and late when we arrived. We were very pleased with the room. In the morning we had such a pleasant surprise by the hotel and beauty of the area. It's a little remote, but what a wonderful, wonderful place for relaxing and enjoying the countryside.

Von Check-in bis zum Check-out ein furchtbarer Aufenthalt! Vollkommen überteuerte Zimmerpreise – absolut kein 4 Sterne Standard, in nicht mal 24 Stunden wurden uns insgesamt 3 verschiedene Zimmerpreise genannt – beim Checkout wollte man gleich um 30€ mehr kassieren, als auf der Buchungsbestätigung stand. Wir buchten über Expedia, im Hotel wurde uns gesagt das sie weder eine Buchung erhalten hätten noch mit dieser Gesellschaft einen Vertrag hätten; Expedia aber schickte uns die Buchungsnummer wo zu sehen war das, dass Hotel die Buchung erhalten – und auch bestätigt hatte ! Vom Personal gab es keinerlei Entschuldigung dafür. Das Zimmer, welches wir um 17:00 bezogen hatten war noch nicht mal gereinigt, die Bettwäsche war noch vom Vorgänger zerwühlt ! Beim Blick aus dem Fenster sah man hohe Stapel von Biertischen und meterhohes Unkraut. Das Zimmer hatte den Standard einer Jugendherberge. Im anderen Gebäude - wo Bekannte von uns untergebracht waren, lagen unzählige volle Müllsäcke in der Wiese. Rund um das Hotel wuchert das Unkraut - Natur ist ja absolut ok aber das ist leider total ungepflegt und grauslich. Das Zimmer hatte den Standard einer Jugendherberge. Im anderen Gebäude - wo Bekannte von uns untergebracht waren, lagen unzählige volle Müllsäcke in der Wiese. Der Gäste PC bei der Rezeption war dermaßen verschmutzt das man nur beim vorbeigehen Vieren abbekommt.

Charming hotel in beautiful surroundings

Even when it's raining and grey in September this hotel is a pleasure to stay in. The staff are friendly and extremely helpful - Herr Weiss had lots of appropriate suggestions for me - and the food is good. The house is full of lovely wooden furniture, comfortable corners to sit in and a small library to enjoy, while the semi-wild garden is full of surprises. Narrow-gauge Mariazeller trains stop just behind the house so this is a plus for railway freaks. The lovely countryside around the hotel is ideal for both easy and more strenuous hiking, and there are plenty of places of interest nearby (Mariazell, Lilienfeld, Lunz-am-See, Gaming, etc.). Oh, and I had a brilliant massage!
