「We were traveling from Columbus, Ohio to Charleston, South Carolina. We wanted a place to stop midway. The location was perfect. The house was wonderful. Everything we needed was included. The view was an unexpected bonus. We would high recommend this for a relaxing getaway. 」

「Great stay! So honored to be the second guests! This place is adorable. Very well done. Stayed here with my husband and three teenagers. Came to enjoy a VT football game and to bring our freshman daughter home for Thanksgiving. We were all very comfortable and happy. The location is beautiful and peaceful. The primary bed downstairs is sooooooo comfortable! Didn’t want to get up in the morning, haha. We cooked some yummy breakfasts and the kitchen had everything we needed. You will not regret...

「We had a pleasantly warm fall stay at this lakefront home with the bonuses of having a hot tub and dock access with the ability to use kayaks. The dock has 2 floors, with an upper gate that opens to allow people to jump into the deep lake, as extra fun for kids. Communication with the host was easy. The road in is only 1 lane, but we were lucky enough not to run into any problems with this. The nearby state park is beautiful and has pretty extensive hiking trails. 」

「If we could give more than FIVE STARS, we would! My family and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this lovely home, and the host was extremely engaging and helpful. Mary was so responsive to every question, and even took the time to give local restaurant and attraction suggestions! This sweet, older home was full of character, clean, and included all of the conveniences and amenities needed for a wonderful stay. It’s also a short, easy drive to Virginia Tech, but far enough away from the bustle...

「Well stocked, everything we needed. Easily make it to the water/dock. Loved the shade under the trees, spent evenings with a fire, whole family had a wonderful time fishing, playing, eating and just being together. Pet friendly, at the end of a very quiet road. 」
