「The first room we were allocated had not been cleaned since the last occupancy however reception gave us another room and upgraded us for which we w ere grateful」

「The Sloop Inn is in a convenient location to explore the area. The bedroom was small and had too much furniture; the two chairs took up all the space left in the room to move around, open a suitcase. The only power sockets were behind the bed. In order to plug in my phone and other chargers, I had to pull the bed away from the wall about 15cm in a room that was already too small. The bathroom sink light did not work. The staff were great.」

「Lovely hotel and area」

「The room was decent and the bed comfortable. The issue we had was the bar had closed at 10.25pm and the bar staff wouldn’t serve us despite us having been told that it would be open until 11pm. We weren’t even allowed to add drinks to our bill and have them in our room because the barman said he’s closed all the tills. He said we could go to the local garage if we wanted to buy alcohol - not exactly what you expect when staying in a hotel.」

「From the outside the hotel looked like any other country hotel, but once you step inside you almost notice straight away how tired looking the whole hotel is, the interior doors, the wallpaper. I stayed in room 17, didn’t sleep much, found the bed uncomfortable. It had a ‘smart tv’, well nothing smart about that tv , it kept going off and then on again.
