Nice cottage

We stayed for a very quick overnight stop the cottage was well stocked, clean, and relaxing. No complaints, Hulda is a great host.

The Perfect Welcome to Iceland

This place was absolutely perfect- warm and cozy with stunning views and a full kitchen set up. Very close to Vik and a gas station. We saw the Aurora Borealis, and the view from the porch produced our best photos. Couldn’t have wished for a better stay.

A lovely cabin on the prairie

What a lovely cabin and setting. Hulda has left no stone unturned. It is such a comfortable place to rest and relax. We were fortunate enough to be visited by Hulda and family on their beautiful ponies. We would love to return during the Northern Lights, it would be ideal. Many thanks

Stay Near Hella

Property was everything we were looking for. On a farm, so we were close to sheep and horses. It was also a short drive to Hella and not far from the Golden Circle. The cabin had everything we were looking for!

Excellent property and location

Hulda was a dream to communicate with and the property was actually better than I’d hoped for. Wish we could have stayed longer. Wouldn’t put more than 2 people here as it’s a pretty small cabin. I slept in the nice Queen sized bed and my adult son slept on the futon.

Charming Cabin Outside the City

This was the best place we stayed in Iceland. It is relatively close to the Golden Circle, Vik, and even Reykjavik. The cabin was very clean, warm, and the bed was the most comfortable we had on our trip. The cabin has everything you need to cook (stove, pots, utensils, french press, etc.) It is away from the city lights so a perfect vantage point for the Northern Lights, plus we woke up to Icelandic Horses right outside the front porch. Hulda is an amazing host, very communicative and helpful. There is also a store nearby if you need last minute items. I cannot recommend this place enough, if you have the chance, stay at this cabin!

Gemütlich mit tollem Ausblick!

Ein schönes, sauberes und gemütliches Cottages in dem es an nichts fehlt. Die Aussicht auf den Vulkan Hekla bei gutem Wetter ist großartig. Die Gastgeberin war sehr aufmerksam und freundlich. Alles super!

Great, cute little property

Had a wonderful stay at Hekla cabins. The cabin had all the essentials and conveniently located, just off the ring road. An ideal spot to stay after day tripping in Golden circle. The owners are very responsive and quite helpful. The only downside I can think of is that the space can feel a bit tight if a family of 4 are staying for a longer period of time. But for couples, this will be a perfect place to stay. Highly recommend it.

A dream came true

It was a great expirience to enjoy the Northern light from our very comfortable bed. The house was great and cosy, clean and well equiped. We really recommend this to everyone.

Very comfortable quiet cabin

Handy for the main ring road, and close to the Golden Circle, many waterfalls and Secret Lagoon. Cabin very warm and comfortable, nice view of Hekla, Icelandic horses everywhere!

The Hekla Cabin was the perfect place for our family

I traveled to Iceland with my wife and 2 daughters (6 & 10) in May. We had a fantastic adventure and loved it. Part of the success was the cabins we booked along the way. The Hekla Cabin was a perfect location to begin our journey around the island and get to experience the space, views and cozy charm of the cabins that are widely available around Iceland. I highly recommend this rental as a place to stay and experience the Hekla region and points southward. Thanks for the hospitality!
