I booked a single king bed room well in advance of the arrival date but was given a room with 2 Queen beds when I arrived. This has happened a number of times when I book a room at a Hilton through Hotels.com.
The desk clerk confirmed that there were 25 available rooms, but all of them were double queen rooms. The clerk said it was Hotels.com’s fault for telling me there was a single king room available when there wasn’t. She the. Conceded that there were single king rooms available on the day I booked, but Hotels.com booked it as any available room, which is why I got the room with two queens.
I don’t know who is worse here, Hilton for giving my room to someone else, or Hotels for tolerating this activity with no recourse for me.
