"Jean Paul was an amazing host who supplied us with lots of lovely apple juice and also really helped us when our car broke down. The house was lovely and had a BBQ which we didn't use but was always available. The village is very quaint with a very small shop for bread (and toothbrushes!). Being fairly remote you need a car but theres two large supermarkets about 5 mins away and Selestat offers lots of larger shops as well as good rain connections to Colmer, Basel and Strasbourg. "We really enjoyed our stay in Metzeral. The house was very clean, the rooms perfectly proportioned with two ideal bathrooms and a large living room and dining room which was ideal for 8 of us. Everything was thought off, with wine and cake when we arrived, coffee in the cupboard and beer in the fridge!! There were even bikes in the garage, probably the best house we have ever stayed in.we will recommend to friends and hopefully come back soon."

"We had a nice week with our family in a fully and cosily furnished house. Even the (young) children were thought of! Friendly and helpful hostess, good communication, warm welcome. Nice environment for walking, cycling, near a lake. Even in bad weather it is pleasant to stay there We only found the street noise and the hard mattresses a minor drawback. Definitely recommended!"
