The check-in was seamless, with flexible timing, and even though we arrived close to 10 pm, the owner personally greeted us, gave a quick tour, and handed over the keys. Since he lives on the ground floor, he was readily available if we needed anything during our stay. The location is ideal—situated in a quiet, safe village just 17 minutes by bus from Neckargemünd, where there's a direct train to Heidelberg. The bus stop is a quick 5-minute walk...

"We meet the owner - Nice person- it helped to have a person on site upon check in to assist an explaining the use of the washing machine, and stove. Great location for our needs, clean apartment, just wished we had a towel for each person, was confused with which buttons went to which shades for the different rooms, since they were not located in each room individually, a second key, and a contact telephone number. Over all we enjoyed our stay and would stay again."

"Amazing!! It’s right at the top of funicular train from town, so easy to get to town or back from town. Plenty of parking if you drive and amazing, truly amazing views!! The hiking is top notch down to the Castle, recommend the funicular back up. Rooms are gorgeous, clean, simple, with warm and cozy bedding and towels. Hit the sauna for a very warm warm up. "

"This is a beautiful hotel in an excellent location. The rooms may not have the most modern amenities but they are comfortable and the view from my window was unbeatable. The service at the front desk was attentive and informative. Note that the hotel faces a very popular street and it can be loud with people until very late at night and again in the morning during trash pick up. The windows block most of the sound, but I prefer to have the fresh air with windows open. The one downside was the breakfast. Expedia said it would be free, but I was charged for it. Breakfast began at 8:00am, but when I went down at 8:30am the eggs were cold. The egs were also flavored like the bacon which is troubling when you are someone who does not eat pork. Go for the fantastic location and service. Don't go for the food. Americans should note that the hotel is not air conditioned. "
