Totally awesome!

The property location was stunning. The owners were welcoming and accommodating. They both offered great advice on what to see, where to park, and the best time to visit the sites. As we were travelling onwards they offered advice on the best route to travel and how to take the ferries! A truly great experience. Well visit again We now consider them our friends

What a delight this place was. Large apartment with semi-seperate bedrooms, comfy lounge and spacious bathroom, nice patio with fjord-side views, and good cafe/restaurant on site. Beautiful surroundings directly at the fjord. Cozy atmosphere around the folks at the hotel, the boss is very helpful and the country and western style goes perfectly with this part of Norway. Nothing negative. Everything is 'greit', as they say in Norway. Fine breakfast with lots of shrimps.

This hotel is a hidden gem. The owners are very nice and very attentive. The views from the restaurant are very beautiful. Sitting on the deck and enjoying the waterfront was an unexpected bonus.

Sjøberg Hotel and appartments

The hotel is situated far from attractions like Preikestolen or even Stavanger city. This means a lot of driving on toll roads and tunnels. The hosts very kind and helpful. The appartment was small and the kitchen was not very usefull. The breakfast was excellent.

We stayed one night on our 2 week trip around Southern Norway but we wish we could have stayed longer - one of the favourite places we stayed on our trip. Laid back atmosphere, breathtaking location right on the waterfront, super friendly staff and excellent dinner.

Nice service tho it feels under construction

Two things strike you when you pull in to Sjoberg Ferie, 1) a beautiful location and 2) the look of a construction yard, with temporary structures (porto-potty?) and window/doors either about to be installed or just being taken out. The room was comfortable enough with a kitchenette (fridge, stovetop - no microwave or oven). A jumble of IKEA furniture, average design and a bed frame so awkward it was uncomfortable to sit up and watch tv. Decent number of outlets but no hooks in the bathroom. Best surprises were Apple TV and pretty tasty food from the kitchen where we had breakfast and supper. Emphasis on local ingredients. One annoyance: other guests smoke outside and it seeped through. Conveniently, there's a supermarket just a 3 minute walk from the hotel. Nothing bad, just not a wow for a 3 star at high season price.

Greit nok, men kjøleskapet var ikke tilkoblet og bruker tid på å bli kaldt så vi valgte å bruke kjøleboksen fra bilen. Ikke gulvvarme påslått, så det var gulvkaldt. Fikk aldri TVen til å fungere. Fugene i dusjen luktet mugg. MEN det var rent. Håndklær, sengeklær og senger var bra, møbler var gode og det var mulighet for å kjøpe mat på stedet. Det var vaskemaskin og tørketrommel på badet. Sjøen rett utenfor vinduet. Passer kanskje bedre for flere overnattinger, vi kom sent og dro tidlig neste dag.
