Outstanding Villa, perfect for friends
This is our third stay in Rethymno and this was, by far, the best Villa yet. For a group of 10 (five middle aged couples) the villa was perfect.
Every couple had their own room ensuite. Each bedroom had everything you needed. The open plan living space was huge and well equipped. Outside the pool was the largest we have had, perfect for the regular swimmers who wanted to do their laps. Loads of spaces to sit in either sun or shade and in groups or find some quiet peace for a read. The outdoor kitchen area was great. Much enjoyed by the South African in the party who was happy "braaing". And the views across the sea and to the hills were just amazing.
The villa is a short walk to a quirky bar up the hill during the day and only 1.5km from the sea and shops/bars, which we did do even if the roads aren't really geared for walking. A small hire car was useful but cabs are easy to get too!
Finally the welcome and hospitality from Rena and her family was great. To be met with cold beer, wine and a home cooked Moussaka was just what we needed after a long day of travel. Never intrusive but there if you needed them, the perfect hosts.
Fimally etouri, the agents and concierge are a real plus, sorting out transfers, reservations, cabs, hire cars. Really recommend this whole experience, villa and location.
