The best staff in a beautiful setting

From the moment we stepped into the hotel we were greeted by such friendly staff,we were suprisingly upgraded to the most beautiful room- what a treat.The hotel is a beautiful old building ,in the perfect location in the old town.beautiful breakfast.Frre bottels of water replaced daily and numerous lovely tioletries.But what makes this place is the staff- they cannot do enough for you,but are also friendly and fun and really make you feel at home.we stayed for 3 nights and were sad to leave such a welcoming hotel.It is a gem so book up early as it is tiny- only 8 room and i would expect always fully booked.

Loved the hotel and room, however, since we could not throw our toilet paper in any toilet in Greece, it would have been nice to have another trashcan in the bedroom area.

The property was a nicely modernised older property very well situated in the old town. The room was spacious and contained a comfortable bed and easy chairs. We made good use of the balcony. The staff were wonderful: welcoming, responsive and informative. There was a wide range of choice of food for breakfast. The pool was not big enough for swimming, but it did have a jacuzzi facility (as did the bath in our bathroom). We did not find it easy to get English language channels on the TV - there were lots of German programmes. A litter bin in the room as well as the bathroom would have been helpful. If we return to Rethymno, we will definitely stay there again!

Hôtel en pleins centre de la vieille ville. Emplacement idéal. Staff extrêmement accueillant, sympathique et pleins de bons conseils. Le staff est vraiment le plus de cet hôtel!

Υπερτιμημένο.Καλη τοποθεσια.

Το κτίριο ειναι υπέροχο,μεσα στην καρδια της παλιας πολης του Ρεθυμνου. Η αρχιτεκτονικη του ειναι σε παλιο βενετσιανικο στιλ. Τα δωματια ανετα και υπεροχα διακοσμημένα με ολες τις ανεσεις. Το μπανιο δυστυχως δεν ηταν στην καλύτερη κατασταση (κιτρινισμενο κάθισμα λεκανης, μαυρισμενοι αρμοι γυρω απο την μπανιερα). Η πισινα εξω ηταν ομορφη αλλα βρωμικη (σκονες ,εντομα και φυλλα μεσα στο νερο) ωστε δεν μπορουσαμε να την χρησιμοποιησουμε και οι ξαπλωστρες ηταν φθαρμενες. Στο πρωινο τα φρουτα ηταν άνοστα , η ομελετα και τα λουκανικα μύριζαν καπως και δεν τα φαγαμε. Πληρωσαμε 150 ευρω για μια διανυκτερευση , πιστευουμε οτι 90 ευρω θα ηταν η σωστη τιμη σχεσης τιμης-ποιοτητας για το συγκεκριμένο κατάλυμα. Το προσωπικο ηταν εξαιρετικο!!! Θα ερχομασταν ξανα εαν ρυθμιζαν τις λεπτομεριες που προαναφεραμε.

A haven in the old town

Very personal and attentive service at this little luxury hotel. Rooms are beautiful, breakfast is very nice, very clean and comfortable. If we should find anything not to our satisfaction it would be the shower in the whirlpool tub (small and nowhere to hang the shower). Otherwise a haven!

Kleine Oase inmitten der Altstadt

Wir hatten die Junior Suite mit Dachterrasse gebucht und wurden nicht enttäuscht! Uns erwartete ein gemütliches Zimmer, zwar nicht sehr gross, jedoch ausreichend. Das Hotel selbst hat nur 9 Zimmer, wodurch es sehr individuell wirkt. Ein Fahrstuhl befindet sich ebenfalls in diesem Hotel. Unsere Junior-Suite mit Dachterasse war mit zusätzlichem Treppenaufstieg zu erreichen. Gleich fussläufig um die Ecke findet man Restaurants und Geschäfte, nur eine Gehminute entfernt. Am Wochenende kann es nachts auch mal etwas lauter werden, wenn die Leute feiern. Es war aber nicht wirklich problematisch für uns. Das Personal ist absolut lobenswert, kümmert sich um jedes Problem. Wir haben auch den kleinen Hotelpool im Innenhof mit bequemen Liegen genutzt, der für eine kurze Abkühlung reicht. Zum Schwimmen ist er freilich nicht gedacht. Das Frühstück war gut: frisch gepresster Orangensaft, Spiegeleier, Wurst, Käse, Marmelade - sehr liebevoll und individuell angerichtet.

Most romantic & beautiful hotel in Rethymno!

We could not have been happier with our stay at Antica Dimora! The only negative we have is that we wish we stayed longer. Beautifully restored & preserved Venetian Palace! We had the room with a balcony overlooking the pool and church down the road and it could not have been more romantic!! We loved waking up to the bright blue skies and breathtaking view of the area. The canopy bed and accent lighting along the stone wall in the bedroom were also a beautiful touch. The hotel itself is incredibly well-situated just off some of the best streets for shopping and dining. The ladies at the front desk were incredibly friendly and helpful when it came to literally EVERYTHING! We are true foodies and they recommended some of the most romantic and delicious restaurants we have ever had the pleasure at which to dine. They even made the reservations for us. When they discovered it was our honeymoon, they immediately sent us a bottle of wine and fresh fruit. When we admitted we didn't have the opportunity to drink it during our stay, they said not to worry and sent us on our way with an additional bottle!! When trying to coordinate the best drop off location for our rental car, they took impressive initiative and managed to not only get our rental extended another day for free, but got the company to come and pick up the car for us! You would be a fool to book any place other than this during your stay in Rethymno.

Nice romantic hotel in the old town

We just spend a lovely week in Antica Dimora Suites in Rethymnon. Everything was perfect: very central location in the old town, nice clean and quiet room, great greek breakfast containing daily fresh baked goods and last but not least really helpful and caring personnel. Great romantic hideaway from the bustle

This is a great town stay. It's not a hotel - Antica Dimora has all the essential things you really want from a hotel (daily servicing/clean, great decor and surroundings, fab location, breakfast) bit is also a bit like staying in your own private home; it's not overstaffed, quiet, calm and a real get away from the busy streets just on it's doorstep. If you're after room service and lots of hotel amenities then this may not be the place for you, but of you appreciate solitude and a warm greeting in the morning, you'll like.

Hotellet har god beliggenhet i hjerte av gamlebyen Rethymno, med gangavstand til restauranter, butikker og stranden. Nydelige rom, med fantastisk god madrass i sengen. Rengjøringen var helt på topp. Betjeningen var utrolig imøtekommende, og hjelpsomme.

Superbe en basse saison

Nous avons profité de ce charmant petit hôtel fin octobre : bien placé, personnel très sympathique, une chambre très agréable et délicieusement décorée. Il s'est nettement détaché des autres hôtels de catégorie équivalente que nous avons fréquentés lors de ce séjour en Crète. Le grand parking municipal aux portes de la vieille ville permet de se garer aisément en basse saison, mais il se peut que cela soit plus délicat au cœur de l'été...

SEJOUR CHALEUREUX

Hôtel restauré dans le centre historique de Rethymnon. Les chambres sont très agréable avec des murs de pierres apparentes et un plafond en bois ancien. Elles sont d'une superficie convenable sans être vraiment grandes. On aurait préféré avoir une douche à la salle de bains alors que c'est un bain dans lequel on était obligé de s'assoir pour prendre une douche ou dans le cas contraire on aurait giclé toute la salle de bains. Le personnel est très affable et toujours prêt à rendre service. Le petit déjeuner était également très correct.

This boutique hotel is underrated!!!

We stayed two nights at this hotel during our honeymoon in the island. By the time we made the reservation, we were not super impressed with the rating and the comments on the net. However, as soon as checked in, we noticed that this boutique hotel was clearly underrated! Owned for more than 100years (and operated) by a Cretan family, family has been doing everything possible to offer great comfort to their guests. Honestly, we didn't want to leave this hotel.
