Good vibe and friendly staff but small rooms

Nice hotel with a good vibe and friendly staff. The rooms were a bit small and had an intense smell of perfume from the hallway due to an air freshener machine. No good restaurants nearby, you will need to go to Rethymno.

Great hotel in Rethymno

Lovely hotel in Rethymno. The service was good and very helpful. There was plenty of options for food and drink in the all-inclusive package, I'd highly recommend. They had some entertainment on at 9pm pretty much every day but there wasn't much else other than that. We stayed in the suite and it was wonderful for a couple's one week holiday. It's only five minutes to the beach which was nice an easy.

Stayed here last year and absolutely loved it so decided to go back…and we’re so glad we did. The food is delicious and not repetitive like some All Inclusive hotels. The staff are amazing too, so friendly and accommodating. New addition to the hotel from last year is the rooftop pool and bar… great for sunsets

What a beautiful and thoughtfully designed hotel!! Staff goes out of their way to accommodate any and all needs (car rental, taxi, early breakfast or lunch packages...). A true gem, would definitely recommend and look forward to visiting again. Thank you Syntopia team!

The hotel is very modern, nice and clean. The pool area is amazing. The service is doing a great job. There is always (live) music at the pool area, mostly until 11pm. We had breakfast included, not all inclusive as there are lots of restaurants around the hotel/ close by.

A great hotel with lovely staff and very clean. Reception area is welcoming, beautiful and smells fantastic! The rooms are a little on the small side and the lighting isn’t great, especially in the bathroom and shower. There is also a smell which comes from the drains but overall, a great hotel and I would highly recommend it. 3 pools to choose from all with beds although they need to be stricter on the policy of not reserving subbed early in the morning.

The hotel is clean, had great vibe and interior design. Amenities include a small gym with good equipment and a yoga studio. Good was fantastic, great section for meat and non-meat eaters. Restaurant and bar staff very friendly and good service. Good selection of pools, just have to be up early for main pool ‘best’ beds, with canopies. Can’t fault the hotel but was disappointed with the reception service. We went for our honeymoon and pre-told the hotel. We weren’t given an upgrade like many couple we spoke to and like many reviews show. We actually were given a different room for the 1st night because our original room was broken. Meaning we had to move room the following morning and couldn’t unpack and relax the night of arrival. The room was bigger and reception made it sound like they were giving a complimentary upgrade (for 12 hours), though it was only because they had to and it actually gave us more inconvenience. As a ‘sorry’ we got given the same fruit platter and sparkling that we would have got anyway as it was our honeymoon. After that bad start the rest of the stay was lovely.

Very nice modern room. The beach is at a walkable distance. Excellent breakfast with a lot of choice. Easy to park near the property as we are outside the city of Rethymno.

Overall this hotel was a really well designed and super clean. The room was wonderful, and the Jacuzzi was a bonus! For the price, I would expect there to be enough sunbeds for the amount of guests, and the food and drink to be a higher quality. Having your breakfast, lunch and dinner all in the same place with the same buffet is quite repetitive.

Alles war sauber, das Personal sehr zuvorkommend und das Essen lecker. Aber es gab doch Einiges, was man bemängeln kann: - sehr laute Umgebung durch die Straße unmittelbar neben dem Hotel (es wird versucht, dies durch laute Musik zu vertuschen) - sehr kleine Zimmer mit sehr wenig Stauraum (kein richtiger Schrank, keine Schubladen) - dunkles Zimmer (selbst die Dusche) - keine Hilfe mit dem Gepäck - trotz All-Inclusive NICHTS im Kühlschrank auf dem Zimmer - trotz All-Inclusive Hälfte der Karte mit zusätzlichen Gebühren verbunden

Unser Aufenthalt im The Syntopia auf Kreta war schlichtweg ein Traum. Dieses Hotel nur für Erwachsene ist eine wahre Oase der Ruhe und des Stils und hat unsere Erwartungen in jeder Hinsicht übertroffen. Schon beim Betreten der Lobby wird man von dem entspannten und gleichzeitig unglaublich schicken Boho-Ambiente verzaubert, das sich durch die gesamte Anlage zieht. Herausragende Gastronomie und exzellenter Service Besonders hervorzuheben ist die Gastronomie. Das All-Inclusive-Angebot war von außergewöhnlicher Qualität und Vielfalt. Die Buffets im Hauptrestaurant waren jeden Tag ein kulinarisches Highlight mit einer riesigen Auswahl an frischen, lokalen und internationalen Speisen. Alles war wunderschön angerichtet und schmeckte fantastisch. Auch die Cocktails an den diversen Bars waren kreativ, hochwertig und immer perfekt gemixt. Das gesamte Personal verdient ein riesiges Lob. Vom Empfang über die Kellner bis hin zum Reinigungspersonal waren alle Mitarbeiter ausnahmslos freundlich, aufmerksam und stets bemüht, den Gästen einen unvergesslichen Aufenthalt zu bereiten. Man fühlt sich hier wirklich als willkommener Gast. Stilvolles Ambiente und perfekte Erholung Die Poolbereiche sind das Herzstück des Hotels und laden mit ihren bequemen Liegen, Daybeds und dem stilvollen Design zum Verweilen ein.
