“The house is very conveniently situated in a fairly calm section of the Old Town. Everything you need is in walking distance. The furnishings are simple and functional, and the roof terrace has a nice view of the harbor (in the distance over the roofs all around). A great place to relax when it's not too hot out. The host, Katja, is very accessible and helpful. We would not hesitate to return. There are, however, a few small inconveniences to be aware of:- the stairways are very steep and……

“My family's stay at the cottage was wonderful. The home was spacious, clean and mostly comfortable (although the beds were a little bit too firm for my family). The mountain and sea views were fantastic! Herbert was a kind and gracious host and was always available in case we had any concerns. He was delightful to talk to and he has a wealth of knowledge about the area. Although we were on a pre-planned schedule, he was always willing to offer a tour of surrounding areas. All in all, the stay……

And Denise is a very kind host who told us all about the quiet beaches, the nice walks and places to visit. We followed her advice by the letter and we were never disappointed! ”

“A lovely quirky house in a beautiful and historic mountain village. Easy to travel to north and south of Rethimno municipality of Crete.I would say you need to be fairly fit as there are 47 steep narrow concrete steps down to the middle floor of the house, and more to the garden door entrance.Narrow wooden open stairs inside and bed on the floor above the bathroom.Perfect for 2 adults.Well equipped kitchen but we ate in the Ancient Lappa Taverna each night which is excellent for and service”
