Facility in need of some updating- couches were worn, pods squeaky and loud, doors hard to open quietly in dorms, etc. Towels cost extra and were only available during reception hours which was inconvenient. Kitchen was nice and I felt safe in the facility and area.

If you have stayed at a pod hotel in Japan, this is not the same experience. While the pods themselves are comfortable and neat, the facilities are not. The mens bathroom was a mess. Every shower stall had something broken in it; the shower faucets were hard to manage; all the shower heads were calcified;and people left their old soaps. This latter point is probably why the company does not provide soap. Even so, it was a disorganized and unappealing mess. Towels are an additional charge. Pods are not cleaned daily. Note also: the front desk is not manned 24/7 and the dorms are not divided by sex.

If all you need need is somewhere to sleep and keep your luggage while you’re out all day day, it’s perfect. The shared kitchen and bathroom are clean and well maintained as are the pods. If I had one criticism it would be that the lockers In your room bed to be bigger. But if you’ve suitcases there is a luggage room that’s locked and only the staff have the key. Just remember to get you need from it during the day as the staff aren’t there between 23.00 to 09.00. Would recommend.

The inner hallway was tagged by wonderful people, the pod rooms looked futuristic and the living room is so cozy with an amazing view of Iceland plus the cheapest hostel in the whole island 10/10 if visiting Iceland.

Great stay. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Common space and dorm rooms were clean. Kitchen available if you prefer to cook your own food. Cost efficient stay but maybe you might want to bring your own pillow if you have a sensitive neck/back. I would stay here again!

Could have been better but had what we needed

Very friendly and helpful staff with very clean accommodations. Unfortunately, our pod's TV audio did not work and neither did the other four pods the staff tried for us. However, the staff did their best to try to fix the problem. The bathrooms and showers were immaculately clean and the kitchen area had everything you needed. Very close to main downtown Reykjavik and very walkable if you decide to do so. Overall, a nice experience. They just need to iron out those technical difficulties (and wouldn't have hurt to offer some sort of compensation for the problems)

Very friendly staff and in a great location. Exactly as expected and clean, comfortable facilities. I've stayed in a few Capsule hotels in Japan and am a big fan of their cost effectiveness, locations and ease of use. This one in Reykjavik is very much like them. If booking tours, the nearest pickup spot is Bus Stop 13

Pretty neat style of pods but they were a little creaky and uncomfortable. Walkable to some restaurants but not the main area of Reykjavik. Not many amenities but clean basic hostel

This is my first time staying in a hostel. I was very pleased with my stay at Galaxy Pod. The staff is always very friendly and willing to help. The location is great; it is just 10 minutes walk from downtown where you cab find restaurants and stores to buy food. The rooms and bathrooms are clean. There is a shared kitchen with a microwave and a big fridge for your food. There is a shared living room with a beautiful view to the mountains. Covid masks are required. Staff is continuously cleaning and desinfecting chairs and furniture. The bedrooms are composed of several capsules (beds). They are comfortable for a good night of sleep. People are very respectful creating a quiet environment at night.

I really wanted to like this place because the staff was very friendly. However on the first night I arrived my electronic locker wouldn’t open after all my stuff was in there. They have no one working from 9pm-9am so I had to wait until the next day to get my stuff and the front desk person showed up 20 minutes late. The pods are plastic and extremely loud, any movement of the doors will wake you up. The person below me was a loud snorer and I could hear him all night. If you are a light sleeper do yourself a favor and go somewhere else because you will not get any rest here. It’s a 20 minute walk from the city center but the bus comes frequently so if you stay here I recommend getting a bus pass.

J'ai du écourter mon séjour d'une nuit, il me l'ont vite débité sans discussion possible, en communication un effort a faire d'autant que personne parle le français. A déconseiller pour nos ressortissants.

The pods are good for travellers who carry less luggage. There is automatic card lock for each guest. However it can only fit a one small cabin baggage. If you have a large checked baggage then it would be a challenge. You have to just keep it on the floor outside the pod.

Pretty good.

It was fine but I expected the pods to be a little better. The tv remote was missing, the headphones as well. Otherwise it's pretty decent for a hostel.
