Family vacation

The house was great. Plenty of room and bathrooms for everyone. Perfect location right on the lake. Nice little fire pit and just an all around great pick if you are looking for a vacation house for your family.

Large Lake Property

We had 5 couples and there was plenty of room for all of us. Excellent location right on lake next to boat launch. Lower level of house is nice and open with a lot of windows facing the lake. Upstairs has the 7 bedrooms - 6 of which had attached bathrooms. Bathrooms and showers are small but they work. Fabulous outdoor area with a hot tub for even more relaxation.

December Weekend

We really enjoyed the stay. The property was big enough with enough private space. The larger shared space is great for bigger groups and eating and drinking together. We would be happy to book here again.

All was great!!! House comes equipped with window A/C and fans, which we weren’t sure about reading description, as well as pop-up awning for the back porch. Suited our multi-generational family perfectly. Thanks for sharing your place!!

Great Vacation Home for larger group!

This property was perfect for our annual siblings get together. There was plenty of toiletries, soap and paper towels. Lots of bedrooms and most had their own bathroom, which was really nice! There was also a ping pong table and a video game with lots of different games to choose from, all this with a beautiful view!

Perfect for multiple families

This was perfect for our annual family vacation. All 3 generations had a great time and plenty of room for everyone. We looked at reserving this for 2025 only to see the price was over double for the same timeframe making it no longer affordable for our family. We would love to return but it appears that isn't going to be an option.

Lovely Stay

We spent Thanksgiving here and it was fabulous! It is very spacious and accommodating for large groups. The lake is right at your door! The video game machine was a big hit. The en suite rooms are great! We would love to come back next year during warmer weather so that we can do some fishing.

Family reunion

We celebrated our family's 36th family reunion at this property. The house was perfect for us as every family had their own bedroom and bathroom. Sad to see the price increase so much for next year. There were plenty of amenities - liquid soap in every bathroom, dishwasher pods, laundry pods, etc. The yard and view are beautiful and we had a wonderful time reconnecting in the northwoods.

Amazing place loved the HOT TUB

This is my favorite place in the Northwoods and it’s right on the water! We loved having our own bathrooms in the 6 en-suites, the kitchen, amenities and cleanliness were outstanding. Did I mention we loved the 8 person HOT TUB!!! The kids wanted the ping pong table, arcade and darts. The weather was nice enough so we took out the kayaks and canoes too. We are definitely coming back.

Relaxing and Inviting Home

This home is spacious and welcoming, with wonderful views of the lake. I spent two relaxing days enjoying all the home has to offer. Their was plenty of space for me to work, relax and read while reading a book and sitting back on the comfortable furniture. The home was well-maintained and had all the amenities I needed to enjoy my stay. I was able to take daily walks around the area. I highly recommend this home and will be going back.

Cousins Weekend in Rhinelander

12 of my cousins and I stayed at the Timber Lodge Resort for our annual cousins week. We loved how spacious the place was - the living space is huge and there are plenty of bedrooms and bathrooms. The view is also beautiful. However, the place was very dirty, with food residuals in the kitchen and mold in the bathrooms. Additionally, there was a major bug problem, dead and alive, including ants, Japanese beetles, large beetles, just to name a few. Overall, it’s a great place for a large group, but it really lacks cleanliness.

Great Location

We had issues with broken front door handle. We had to shovel around front door and a path to a side door for entrance because of broken handle. We had a shower not hooked up so couldn't use. We had a broken shower door in another room. There were only 2 big bags for garbage for a house holding 14 people and no dishwasher soap to start dishes at checkout. Nice common area to support large group team bonding time.

Great Gathering place for large group!

Property was great! Six of 7 bedrooms had private baths! Recently an historical old lodge with a wonderful remodel. The view of the lake was outstanding and the building was Super clean! However, there was no number to contact anyone other than the service managing the property called Vacasa. And they were in Oregon. I had to look deep into the online Vacasa site to find the very vague check out procedure. It said to “gather sheets”. That’s all. No idea where to gather them to. We also discovered a leak after a heavy rainfall but had to leave a note for the cleaners as there was no one to contact. The property was great! Would have liked to have a local contact for questions and concerns. Would still recommend to stay! Cheers!

Unique lodge

Overall, we enjoyed our stay at Timber Lodge. The venue is perfect for large groups; our family (aged 20-82) had fun doing puzzles, playing the arcade and ping pong, and spending time outdoors. The lake is beautiful, calm and peaceful. The “kids” had a ball playing on the trampoline and relaxing on the raft. There were a few issues that arose over the weekend. One bathroom had a hole in the shower ceiling with a “Do not use” sign on it. We got a text on our 2nd day telling us we couldn’t use the hot tub for the duration of our stay. Part of the sectional was broken and unsafe for use. A sink and shower drain were not working. At 7pm on Saturday night, while attempting to feed our large group brats and burgers, we realized the gas grill would not light. A trip to the gas station to fill the propane tank did not help. The grill appears to be very well used and attempts to fix it did not work, it does not appear to be rehabable and needs to be replaced. While we did get someone to call us back on Thursday about a few of our concerns and the septic system was pumped the next day, our other concerns were not addressed. Calls to the company the day after we got home were futile as the voicemail was full. In summary, this site is fantastic for large groups; you won’t find another like it. If the few amenities can be upgraded and fixed I would not hesitate to return, but for the cost of the five nights, I had hoped to get all the amenities that were promised.
