We enjoyed our stay here. It was just right for our family of 5 - 2 young adult sons shared the upstairs with 2 beds, my teen daughter had her own room, and my husband and I together. It was a great home base for our adventures. Would stay here again.

Loved our stay! It was conveniently located to downtown Richmond and surrounding areas. The home had everything we needed for our 3 day stay. James was so great at communicating with us prior to and during our arrival. Highly recommend!

Clean and well stocked!

We very much enjoyed our stay with friends for a swim meet. Showers were stocked with shampoo and conditioner, kitchen stocked with coffee, creamer, trashbags, papertowels etc. Everything was clean and neat, and the kids loved the board games and streaming TV options. Plenty street parking available.

Property was as listed, clean with everything needed. James was super helpful from the booking till the end with helpful and timely suggestions/recommendations to make our stay comfortable. We stayed in the upstairs apartment, and didn’t have any difficulty accessing the house, stairs etc. Kitchen was well stocked.

Great wedding weekend stay

I stayed here with my husband and 3 of our friends from college while in town for a friend’s wedding. The location was close to the venue and easy to navigate to. The host had amazing communication and was easy to get a hold of when needed. Only big complaint is that it wasn’t in the NICEST area, but we didn’t feel unsafe ever. Otherwise, could have used a slightly less firm bed and larger towels, but they weren’t bad by any means. Still slept great. Overall great experience for our short weekend stay.

Great location and stay

Seems like a recent renovation stocked with everything you might need. The couch in the living room was big and comfortable. We used the big table in that room for a puzzle. 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms was plenty of room for 4 adults. We were a bit concerned about street parking but never had any trouble finding a spot fright outside the unit. Nice neighborhood and easy to get to Richmond.

Richmond is cool

Our family had a great time in this two level unit. Everything was clean and comfortable, and even though it was dreadfully hot outside the upstairs AC unit kicked into gear and really cooled off quickly. Wi-Fi was an issue for the first few hours, but James quickly got on the case and The problem was solved by the time we got back from dinner. The neighborhood was quiet and safe. I wasn’t so sure about the location when we first came in. It is a historical neighborhood, but it was very safe and so close to really good restaurants. I would definitely stay there again.

Early Christmas vacation

Our family had a wonderful stay! Very homey second floor walk up. Large bedrooms and comfortable furnishings. A very peaceful neighborhood. Laura Lee’s restaurant and Zombie pizza within walking distance. Very close to downtown Richmond, Carytown and Maymount Park. We highly recommend it.

Wedding Guest Weekend

Booked this stay for 6 adults who were attending a friend’s wedding in Richmond. James provided plenty of information beforehand and was available to answer any questions I had. Super accommodating host. Be warned the AC in the upper bedroom only has a portable AC unit. It worked well, but took a while to cool down the room on the 100 degree days we stayed there. Only an “issue” if you’re staying in the heat or summer. Wouldn’t prevent me from booking again though! We really enjoyed our stay.

Richmond 2024

All went well. I am concerned about the two missing windows located in the main bedroom. This is a serious safety concern. Also the sliding door leading out to back needs to be repaired or replaced. This is also a major safety hazard. In addition the attempted wood barrier out this same door is inadequate as relates to child safety. This three issues can be easily resolved with and with minimal expense. Just recently hung up my shingle after more than 20 years as a Realtor.

A few enhancements needed

Overall, a very good stay, but some enhancements would have made it better. We had an issue with a carbon monoxide detector on Christmas Day that was resolved quickly and professionally. The property manager is very responsive. The premises are fine, but the location of one of the bathrooms away from the bedrooms was strange. The kitchen is not as equipped as indicated in the listing e,g, limited cutlery, plates. There was no laundry detergent and two dishwasher pods which was expected based upon the listing. While the beds were comfortable, the pillows were not. Just be aware that the steps up to the unit are somewhat steep and narrow which may be challenging for older people (like us). Overall, a good stay, but could have better with some small enhancements.
