Southern Victorian Mansion: Eating/drinking Nearby
1219 Decatur was built ca 1905, prior to the annexation by the City of Richmond in 1910. It is the longest standing residence on the north side of the block. This 2800 square foot beautiful house consists of 2 stories, 3 Bedrooms, 2.5 Bathrooms, washer/dryer, a fenced backyard with a storage shed for bikes/motorcyle(s), a covered porch, & a truly walkable/bikeable, urban environment. Plus it is only a block from Hull Street and all the new businesses, restaurants, markets, cafés, and breweries. This house was just completely renovated from top to bottom and an interior design firm filled out the house with brand new furniture, artwork, kitchenwares, linens, etc.

Great stay in a beautifully decorated home
This was a fantastic rental for our girls weekend. The house is beautifully restored and nicely decorated, with everything you need. We loved our visit.

Lovely Victorian well decorated
The house is exactly as pictured on the website, large rooms we’ll appointed.
We had a few issues however. The beds in all the rooms are very uncomfortable. The sofa bed was the most comfortable which is very telling. The bath tubs are very slippery! They need mats and grab bars.
Communication with the owner/manager was very slow in responding. We were only given one key for 8 people and a second key had to be made and we had to come pick it up at the cafe.
I’ll end on a high note because overall we enjoyed our stay. Thank you

Wedding week
We were in town for or daughters wedding with some out of town family, the house was great for all of us and all the boxes and supplies we had for the wedding. Beautiful kitchen and bedrooms were roomy and the beds pretty comfortable. I would definitely stay here again and recommend it high, thank you for a great week and the opportunity to be with family.

Beautiful modern historic home !
Michael was an amazing host! The property was amazing the pictures didn’t do it justice you have to see it in person. A group of my childhood friends and I got together to celebrate our friends birthday. We are all young professionals and we haven’t seen each other in years. This home was perfect for the 8 of us. We watched movies and had a feast one night. The kitchen is picture perfect and also one of our favorite rooms in the house. The interior designs are simple, modern and classy. I loved this property and I will book here first before any where else in the area!!! Thank you for allowing us to have a home away from home !
