What an incredible home! The coziness of the fireplaces, the history, the decorating! You can walk all through the home and find amazing knick-knacks and collections of all sorts. Our goal was to do nothing but relax and the mission was accomplished. We loved that the holiday lights were still up. It was made even more magical with a significant snowfall during our stay. Our host was friendly and attentive. Would recommend to my friends. Pam and Donald

Great Spot!

Very nice place, great vibe and a responsive and attentive host. Wesport is a very pretty town with a great swimming beach and cool food store too!

Stone Road Log House was so roomy and comfortable for our whole family. There are so many little touches that made our stay enjoyable. The back yard was large and fenced, so we had privacy and it was large enough to play games outside. Three bathrooms made it nice with a large group of 8 like ours. The owner was next door and we felt comfortable in asking him anything. He was very friendly and helpful. We loved it here.

Birthday Celebration

This stackwall building was warm and comfortable for a mid January stay. We had a great time cooking up a birthday celebration and the snowstorm outside was not a issue. Our driveway and the lane to the main road were cleared completely. The place is cozy and inviting.

A wonderful stay

We had an amazing stay and Alex was a superb host! This place has such an interesting history and is so charming - it made for a perfect getaway! And the location is great - so many things to do! We'll definitively be back :)

Fantastic property. From the location (just outside of town) to the bedding (soft and comfortable) to the nice surprises in/on the property (I cant possibly give these away: youll have to go !!) the stay was perfect.

Superb Property

We have stayed here before, enjoyed it then so much that it was a natural choice for a return trip to the area. The house is well equipped, Alex is an excellent host and our stay was everything we hoped for and more. The sleeping arrangements are great for families, the kitchen has all the dishes, pots and pans you need to have a lovely dinner in. Would highly recommend this property if you’re in the area.

Even more delightful in person!

We were blown away by how unique, welcoming and utterly perfect this place was for our group for our wedding weekend. There was a different surprise around every corner, and it was a our little bit of calm throughout a rather hectic weekend. Alex was superb with communication and all his hospitable touches throughout the cottage. Thank you so much!

The log house on old Stone Road is a charming gem boasting a unique history. Our host and his family were invested in making our stay comfortable and memorable. Our dogs were also welcomed with walking trails on the property. This is a beautiful and comfortable home that easily accommodates 8 people. It was an excellent meeting place for our families. Westport is a mere 3 minute drive down the road. Ideally situated in the Rideau Lakes area. Highly recommend this property to future guests.

Wonderful place. Very welcoming. Met the host’s parents at check in, lovely people. Only no one thing missing, a view of water but as it’s in a lake district the water’s not hard to find.

Perfect for family gathering

This home was overall well appointed. Very comfortable beds, well appointed kitchen and all the amenities we needed for our long-weekend stay. Communication with Alex was excellent and all the little extra touches put into making this a memory stay were very much appreciated. Would highly recommend this home if staying in the Westport area.

Historical building with all the modern needs

This home is peaceful, very well located and like the host a real gem. Although we did not meet in person, Alex makes you feel both welcomed and comfortable with all the special ways to get you familiar with the space and it's uniqueness. Comfortable beds. The only drawback may be that there is no A/C upstairs.

Amazing

This was a first-class getaway. Simply everything guests should expect was provided, plus a nifty gift basket. Alex is a great host and answers every message super fast. Freezing weather, but we were toasty warm. Can’t say enough good. Highly recommended.
