“Two retired couples, we have just had an excellent stay at Sawmill. Very comfortable, extremely spacious and yet cosy, the location and facilities of this property made it an excellent choice and it was perfect for our needs. “We had a very relaxing 4 day break in this beautiful stone cottage, a mile off the main road near Hadrians Wall, on a farm that practices environmental care and organic stewardship under the Green Tourism Business scheme. The cottage was very clean and very comfortable with a new shaker modern style kitchen, so very easy to make a simple meal. The bed was super comfortable in a roomy upstairs bedroom. Valerie the host is a warm and helpful host who welcomed us upon arrival to ensure we were……

“What a find! This was the perfect place to tick Hadrian’s Wall off our Australian family’s bucket list. The fairly remote setting gave us peace and wild skies.
