“This is a simply delightful place to stay. Clearly, immense effort has gone into creating a place of elegance, style and French sophistication. Hundreds of grace notes abound, little touches of elegance and thought. Spotlessly clean and with all the amenities you could desire. The hosts are wonderfully welcoming and helpful, even booking a table in a local restaurant. They took such time and care to make my stay perfect, the only problem being ... I was only there for one night - I would……

“Nicely appointed renovated home. Had two dinners with guests that the proprietors made. Def would suggest enjoying the company and food. We had car trouble, and Marcel offered to take us to Hertz in Saumur. Acted as tour guide, chauffeur, and interpreter for us in Chinon as well as Saumur. Lovely area. ”

“The Manoir is a charming, rustic property. A warm and friendly welcome from Marie. Te property is a couple of kilometres from the nearest village so peace & isolation is guaranteed. A refreshing dip in the pool on arrival was very welcome. Marie’s home cooking for the evening meal was lovely with a great selection of wines. The room was on the top floor. Good, comfortable bed and a large bathroom with a great walk in shower.”

“Tout était parfait, l’accueil la chambre, la salle de bain nickel. J’aurais apprécié des œufs brouillés au petit déjeuner plutôt que des œufs durs, froids. Le jambon dans la boîte Tupperware, pas très pratique à se servir et quelques fourchettes à disposition aurait été appréciées ”

“Wow what a find . This place is like staying at a picture postcard and the owners can’t do enough for you . They accommodated our slightly late arrival and cooked us up a French food delight . Best food we have eaten on our whole 3 week trip together with the best b and b we have stayed in . I cannot recommend this place enough and the surrounding medical village is just gorgeous. You can even have a swim in the lake and have a dip in a hot tub . We will definitely be back and have a longer……
