Julia, Mattheus, Thiago and the breakfast staff were fantastic and the gym and pool area are good. The housekeeping team also do a very good job.
However, the service on reception was far from good on many occasions and management were in the main absent and with the exception of Natalie very slow to respond.
The building is in need of investment and a number of maintenance issues arose during our stay which took the maintenance team a long time to address. The lift system is badly in need of upgrading and numerous problems were experienced and on one occassion all of the guests had to use the staff lifts as the guest lifts were fully out of operation for a period.
This hotel is in a great location and has some real plus points but in my opinion is at best a three/four star based on our experience.
