「This is the most authentic Colombian experience I could ever have. Can't believe my luck to have a host like Jimmy, one of the few fluently English/Spanish gentleman in town to guide me around and introduce me to butchers, grocers, mechanics, carpenters and baristas. He made me feel so welcome and at home. The cottage is beautiful and quaint, surrounded by banana and coffee fields. 「The hotel is small with about 7 rooms which was nice. The young man Maricio at the front desk was super helpful and nice and the women who cooked breakfast and cleaned were the same. Breakfast was simple and the same every day but certainly enough and good. The decor is fun and felt very homey. Beautiful view from the balconeys over looking the gorgeous mountains. 「It was fine for a few nights, but unfortunately I wouldn’t recommend. Cons: It was SO loud with trucks and motorcycles going by all day and night. I wore earplugs and still couldn’t sleep. This is a common in jardín, so I’d recommend looking for a hotel on the edge of town if you want to sleep. Also service could have been better. No one was there when I arrived at 1pm, which may be been Expedia’s fault, and no one ever responded to my messages. Owners don’t seem to be around often if you need...
