Home in Paradise with Walking Distance to Great Restaurants

We had a perfect, magical stay at the South House! Such a beautiful property with great amenities for our family! Kids loved the swimming pool, parents enjoyed the late afternoon beverages and wind coming off the ocean while seeing a beautiful sunset over the water!

An Amazing Stay at Vivaro Roatan

Perfection in paradise!

This is our third time visiting Vivaro, and it’s perfection every time. Amazing house with everything you need, walking distance to the West End, and a wonderful host who will help you with rides, reservations, activities — you name it. All you have to do is book your flight and then show up ready to enjoy it all. There’s a reason we keep coming back — and you should too. You won’t regret it.

Great Week in Roatan

Vivaro South House was perfect for our group! The house was gorgeous and Matt was very helpful at lining up different activities for us. The location was also amazing- 5 minute walk to West End restaurants and shops- couldn’t be better! Would love to return someday!

Fantastic place with an amazing view of the sunset every night!

Vivaro Roatan is fantastic in every sense of the word! We stayed at the South House for about a week. The pictures don't do it justice. The house is huge! Bedrooms are spacious and the kitchen living area has enormous vaulted ceilings and opens up fully to the outside...with and option to close it. It's all the space you'll ever need and we were a family of 7...3 adults and 4 kids. One of the best parts is that it's a 5-10 min walk into town(West End) where all the restaurants/bars, beach and dive shops are. Matt, who was managing the property was very helpful and arranged everything we needed for our trip and was reachable via phone or WhatsApp(which is the app that pretty much everyone on the island uses to communicate, including restaurants and water taxis. We can't wait to go back!

Vivaro West End

The house is perfect and the staff are fantastic. If we had questions or needed anything the staff made all the arrangements and took great care of us. The pool and view are amazing, perfect for unwinding after a long day diving. Everything in West End is a casual stroll away. Thank you so much for hosting us.

Beautiful home in great location.

The photos of the home represent it well. It is very spacious and accommodating. Walking distance to great restaurants, bars and dive shops. Communication with owner and management was very good. I would definitely rent this property again.

Great stay at South House

We have been to many, many places in the Carribean and this is probably the best. Perfect location-easy walk to grocery store, restaurants, boats, beaches in West End (the "Happenin' Place" in Roatan). House was well maintained and exactly as advertised - and at a reasonable price. We will be back.

Breathtaking

We just got back from our 1st trip to Roatan. It is Paradise! We stayed in the Southhouse at Vivaro Roatan and when I tell you its better in person than in the pictures. When you arrive and walk in your taken back. It has everything you need great staff, best part in walking distance to everything. We felt safe we walked at night so quiet and peaceful. Thank you Vivaro we will be back!

Simply Amazing

I honestly cannot say enough good things about this property, the people or the location. This was an experience of our lifetime and me, my wife and our two daughters (19 and 23) enjoyed every aspect of this trip. We highly recommend staying here and we are so thankful for everyone from check in to check out that made this trip one we will remember for years to come.

Definitely as advertised. Everything is first rate, from the people, to the property, to the proximity to town. Will be back for sure. One of the nicest places i have ever stayed. beautiful location, lovely home

Wonderful home, excellent service (especially appreciated the answers to all my questions prior to our arrival) This was the first time we (family of 6 - all adults) traveled to Roatan and we had a fabulous time. The house was beautiful and comfortable and in an excellent location allowing us to walk to town, take a water taxi to West Bay beach, etc. We're ready to return. Don't miss this house!!

Incredibly beautiful home and views

The photos of this house do not do it justice. The tall ceilings and tons of fans with a good cross breeze and pool made the days perfectly comfortable. We opted for a/c only in our rooms at night and it was nice and chilly and didn't cost us much for energy. Matt was very welcoming and they were open to driving us anywhere on the island. The pool was clean and the perfect temperature. I cannot recommend this place enough!

Incredible Stay In The Perfect Setting!

We were lucky enough to travel with friends who booked the Vivaro North house next door which made for an even more enjoyable vacation. Both houses are conveniently located within walking distance to everything in West End, each has new modern furnishings and are very well managed. The property manager greeted us and was instantly available should we have questions or require guidance with reservations or general advice. The pool and cleaning staff were attentive and visible multiple times during the week.

Spacious paradise

When we first walked in, we were totally blown away by the beauty and expansiveness along with the incredible views! The property was exactly as described in the listing. The manager and owners were super gracious and communicative, very helpful. We felt that we had a ton of privacy and thoroughly enjoyed using both the indoor and outdoor areas. We loved the quiet neighborhood and proximity to town. Just a tip: you can rent a scooter right across the street from Hugo. Would highly recommend this gorgeous space!

Best experience at Vivaro

What a gem! We never once regretted our selection. Ireland location to West End which allowed us to walk down ever day for our dive trips. Back to enjoy the pool and relax. Love Loretta (2 nights of chef) food delicious especially the lemon pie. Overall - one of our best trips. We appreciate all the attention and communication from Matt and Tanya. We will be back! Thank you again.

What a great place!

We travel frequently on vacation and typically stay in nicer homes or resorts and we've never been happier than we were with the accommodations at Vivaro South House. Time does not allow us to go into detail, but any small shortcomings were greatly overshadowed by all the wonderful attributes of this property and the very reasonable rental rates. If you're even considering renting this home, just do it, you will not be disappointed. You can thank me later!

Perfect in every way

Thank you for an amazing experience for our family. The home and location are incredible! Marty, who provided transportation for our family, was invaluable on our vacation. He was not only extremely helpful in getting us around, but also suggesting activities and ensuring our family’s comfort. Marty’s wife, Blackie, cooked us our favorite meal of the entire trip in the comforts of the home. We also really enjoyed the Argentinian Grill which is a short walk into Half Moon Bay. Zip lining and our catamaran sunset cruise were highlights for our family of seven.

Wonderful time

A group of 10 of us stayed at Vivaro-West End-North House and we all could not have been happier. 6 were kids from age 16 to 25 and they stayed in the bunk room and they all agreed that there was plenty of room and the beds were comfortable. The house is beautiful, the kitchen was stocked with everything you need to cook a complete meal, and the view is awesome. You can walk into town, which is very convenient, as we did many times and always felt safe. Tanya was such a great source for activities and restaurants and emailed me back quickly every time I had a question. I would not hesitate to book this house again when we come back next year to Roatan.

Let the Sunshine and Breeze In!

This house is the best of indoor/outdoor living. It opens up to the beautiful oceanside from all levels and has maximum air circulation from the folding doors and the maximum amount of fans both inside and outside to keep the air moving. It really cuts down on the need for the air conditioning. It is ideal for couples and/or multiple adults traveling together since it has two main suites with sliding glass doors and private decks/balconies with great ocean views for both main suites. Both have large private bathrooms. No more fighting over who gets the better room. The location is ideal for walking to great restaurants and shopping. It's a great house for relaxing and enjoying the ocean view.

GREAT week at Vivaro South!

We had a wonderful week at the Vivaro South house. It was my family of five, three pre-teen to teen kids. The house was immaculate, Matt and Marty were both great taking care of us. And Tanya the owner communicated very clearly and was very helpful. The views were incredible. The bedrooms were perfect. The kitchen great. Everything was as advertised and we had no complaints. We lost power one night after a big storm and Matt contacted us immediately to let us know the generator was kicking on and making sure we were good (we were!). An A/C unit was running slow one morning- they had it fixed in hours. Finally- just a shout out for the location. Just amazing- we walked into West End multiple times a day and dove daily with Jackson’s Dive Center (which deserves its own write up). In short- I would give this place six stars if possible. We are relatively well traveled and this was our absolute favorite place.

Gorgeous home on the water!

As others have said, the pictures don't do this lovely home justice! It was spacious and bright, with attractive and functional furnishings that made relaxing after a day at the beach a pleasure. Beautiful sunsets at the end of the day were a highlight of our stay, and the kids loved hanging out in the pool while the adults chit chatted in the comfy chairs. One of our friends snorkeled right off the shore and said there was lots to see there, the only concern is boats that come around the point and drive by close to shore. The beds and pillows were high quality and very comfortable, and the air conditioning in the bedrooms worked great. Excellent wifi and a generator for when the power goes out was also a plus since outages are common on Roatan. Overall we had a wonderful stay and everything about Vivaro South was top notch. We also loved that it was within walking distance of the shops and restaurants on West End, but far enough away to be peaceful and quiet in the evenings. Already planning our next stay in this fantastic location!

Awesome house for 2 families to share

This is a beautiful and well maintained house and property. The pool was bigger than it looked in the pictures. It’s perfectly located to take in the sunset every night. The living room and kitchen stayed cool during the day with windows and doors opened. The AC in each bedroom kept the rooms cool at night. Electricity was only $125 for the whole week with each bedroom occupied. The walk into town was easy and mostly paved with the unpaved part in good shape with gravel. It’s just far enough away from West End to avoid the noise. The house layout is perfect for 2 families to share. The parents can each enjoy a master bedroom suite and the kids get an awesome bunk room with its own full bathroom. The staff did a great job keeping the property perfect inside and out. Matt, the property manager, was helpful and ready to assist with scheduling any activities. I will book here again next time I’m able to get to Roatan.

Perfect Location

We stayed with one other couple at the North House of Vivaro Roatan. The location was just perfect. We were just far enough away from the action of West End that we felt like we had the island to ourselves. Anything we wanted was within a 5-10 minute walk from the house. The owner Tanya was very attentive and accessible by email throughout our stay. She recommended great restaurants and excursions as well. The house is huge and immaculately clean. Infinity pool is great as are the views. We even saw a pod of dolphins from the deck. The only criticism I have on the house is it was tough to get a warm shower. The water temperature was difficult to regulate. Travel too and from the airport is simple....Just a 15-20 minute ride. Wonderful dive shops and the food was great. Try Garden Café Lala in the West Bay. That was our favorite. We felt safe the whole time on the island and fully relaxed by the time we had to return to the states. Great trip, great house, great location.....I would highly recommend it.

A perfect week in Roatan

We stayed at the Vivaro Roatan south house the second week in March. Three couples, all over 50, there primarily for diving. We have travelled together before but have never been to Roatan. The universal consensus in our group was that this house was a great place to stay. We were able to walk to the dive shop and most of the restaurants we ate at. Things we particularly liked about the house: - The owner and manager were available immediately to answer any questions. That is extremely helpful when you are in an unfamiliar place. - The front doors open up fully, creating a very open plan between inside and out. - The pool was constantly in use. I can't imagine staying somewhere without one. - The beds and pillows were high quality, which is something I no longer take for granted and can make or break a stay. The fully stocked kitchen also came in handy. - Having a backup generator is a big deal. The power went out frequently on the island but we were never affected. In summary, this was a great experience from beginning to end and I would not hesitate to recommend this house or owner to others.
