A remodeled cottage close to the Dragon, Cherohala Skyway and area attractions.
The Sweetgum Cottage is a small home that has been completely renovated. It features a wrap around deck and a large sitting and deck area underneath that is perfect for an evening of relaxation after enjoying the area attractions. The cottage has a fully furnished kitchen, one bedroom with a queen bed, a sofa bed, bathroom, central heat and air, washer and dryer, free WiFi and ample parking area for your vehicles. Access to the Cottage is via a ram or steps. It is conveniently located to the town of Robbinsville, a short drive from Lake Santeetlah and Lake Fontana, the Tail of the Dragon, Cherohala Skyway and great hiking trails and trout streams.
Sweetgum Cottage is located on property owned by the Davis family for several generations. We (Rick and Sara) are retired NC Public School employees after 30+ years with Graham County Schools. We have remodeled the Cottage and are now making it available as a short term rental property. We are active in our community and church and enjoy spending time with family and our four grandchildren. We hope that you will enjoy your stay at the Sweetgum Cottage.

Comfortable and prisitne
Cottage was so clean and neat! We enjoyed returning to the cottage each day after riding our motorcycles. The washer dryer came in so handy and we forgot laundry detergent, and to our nice surprise the cottage had some for us to use. We highly recommend the Sweetgum cottage!

A hidden gem in Nantahala Forest
We had a lovely quiet time at the space. Truly one of the more organized and clean properties we have ever stayed at.
Rode the Skyway there and the Dragon back.

Great VRBO Property
Possibly the cleanest property we’ve ever rented, and we’ve rented many! Very comfortable, well stocked & the hosts kept in contact with us through texts to make sure everything was good. We’ll absolutely stay here again if it’s available.

Perfect in every way!
The cottage was absulotely perfect and had everything we needed. It was close to everything and far enough from the road itself that the traffic did not bother us. We spent a lot of time on the porch, it was perfect for relaxing and eating breakfast. We did cook a lot and they had everything we needed, they had a coffee maker and provided coffee and stocked the fridge with water bottles for us as well as some butter and coffee creamer. Everything was clean and comfortable and, for those who need internet and service, both were superb. I would definitely come back again and recommend it to others!
