Yes. So much for honesty. We're taking care of plumbing issues after the slow winter. My point was we just spent 2000 installing a brand new shower unit! For most guests, that room's shower is adequate. In your case, you're the 2nd people to have ever used it!. Excuse the openness and honesty about the installation issues the night before. As for the other things, you'll notice many other people comment they like our beds and our towels. I'll definitely check those beds though; especially the squeaky one to see if we need to replace it or turn it over. Thank you for pointing that out. We always offer guests the chance to upgrade to a larger, nicer room or to one of our 3 bedroom cottages. You should never arrive at a hotel unhappy. Next time, whether our motel or another, I recommend you let the management know you're unhappy when you arrive and we can try to remedy any problems by changing you to another room or cottage.

I believe the city turned off the water to remain the water main in the middle of the night and no other guests had issues.I'm sorry for your inconvenience but it was out of our control.

What a wonderful review. Of course, some people arrive unhappy and hunt for imperfections. Others rave about how cozy, and more affordable we are. Our themed rooms, comfortable beds. And how convenient we are and some admire the historic stone buildings. Others should stay at more expensive hotels.

Thank you for your kind review and understanding of that temporary issue. Perhaps you notice that most other guests are very happy here and many are repeat guests who’ve been coming for many years. All rooms have Direct TV now. We did have some bizarre odor problem in that room and I’m not sure why it only affected your room, but it’s odor free now.

Let’s see…. There was an issue (off season: room hadn’t been occupied in awhile), so we resolved it by upgrading you to a 210 a night, 3 bedroom house, and you review the house as 3 out of 5. Interesting. We’d hoped the beautiful house would please you. We’re sorry you weren’t satisfied. We did all we could.

1. We're still not sending housekeepers in for daily cleaning due to covid restrictions. The worst thing would be one of my housekeepers giving many guests covid.2. The easy thing when you're in any hotel and there is a problem, talk to the front desk and they can change your room or make additional changes. Sorry you were disappointed. If you come back, we'll be sure to make you more comfortable next time.

Thanks for keeping us on our toes. Internet is generally very dependable except during rain storms. Frontier has been having slow downs this month. Sorry you came at a bad time. Been having some housekeeper issues that we’re working to resolve. The room you were in is next in line for carpet shampooing.

Sorry you were disappointed. Our rooms are $30 less than comparable rooms in our area, and some of those others don’t provide covered parking for bikes! We’re renovating. Some rooms are further along than others. Most guests love our garden areas, and outside tables, and fire pits.

Our battery powered mower died. However, we were able to mow today. Yes... the grass was getting long and some other details needed attention. But thank you so much for not penalizing us in your score!! Come see us again soon

The day you checked in, I messaged you that we have many, many different types of rooms and I offered to move you from the economy budget room you reserved, to a bigger nicer room. The difference in price is usually $10 - $20 more. Most of our guests love our rooms and our beds. Most guests love our gardens, and our many covered motorcycle parking areas, and our fire pits. Most people love our antiques and unique furniture. But we take your suggestions seriously and we are buying new blinds today (I didn't know about the blinds: sometimes people or pets break them without telling us). We have a fan to replace the one in that room if it has started humming. Last year, Robbinsville had zero days over 90 degrees, and our air-conditioners generally keep rooms very cool. You must have accidentally set the fan to cool not realizing that there are two settings, one for air conditioning and one for fan only. That has happened many times before. Or... maybe it was just the hottest day of the year and that unit needs to be bigger; we'll check into it. I'll try to sleep there tonight. Thank you for the heads up. I might suggest Historic Tapoco Lodge down the road on your next stay. They have beautiful rooms.

This is simply not true. You're accusing me of lying, but this was YOUR mistake. You did not book a "cabin." We have 6 cabins and they are all 3 bedroom cabins, from $185 to $225 per night. Our least expensive cabin is $185 per night. Did you think you had booked a 3-bedroom cabin for only $96 a night??? Really? The room you originally booked had a queen bed, a full bed, and a twin bed. No kitchen. No dining room. No living room. Just a room with 3 beds. The one I generously upgraded you to had 2 separate rooms. One private room had a queen bed and the other, larger room, had a full bed and a queen bed. The room you booked was absolutely a room, and not a whole, 3 bedroom cabin with kitchen and living room and dining room. You should be more careful when you review a property, making false claims. I'm embarrassed now for upgrading you.

We have several "super budget" rooms and sometimes people who want a bigger, nicer room don't realize that there are MANY choices here. 3 bedroom houses, 2 bedroom rooms with kitchens, small rooms with queen beds and small bathrooms, and large, comfortable rooms with king beds and large bathrooms. "King bed very comfy" sounds like you were mostly happy, but the 4 out of 10 score is shockingly low and damaging. We've replaced the carpets in some of the rooms and if you come back in the future, we may have replaced the carpets in that room. Some people may believe with such a score, everything was just terrible... everything. "King bed great" (yes, that was an expensive, special bed) would hint at a score of 9 or 10, with some deductions for less than perfect carpets. But thank you for pointing out the good, even if the score doesn't reflect it.

Interesting: no one has ever questioned the shower soap dispensers, which I installed to stop people wasting separate plastic throw away soaps and shampoos (who knows what people might put in those, too?).
