You had to use the service elevator, which required going through a windy, dingy hallway. Elevator worked by had some peculairities--e.g., had to hit the up button, whether you or going up or down.
There is 24 hour security on site, I didnt see any sign of potential trouble, but that did make me wonder.
The cook was super friendly, and loved to answer questions about the history of Rochester, recommended places to eat (for greasy spoon, learn about a Rochester classic, the garbage plate!), and was extremely pleasant. he even told me about the Rochester Royals, who won an NBA championship in the 1940s. Great attitude and really helped close out my stay with a pleasant conversation. There is a continental breakfast.
