perfect for my large family. this is our second year in a row. two minute walk to the beach. I am a little sad they put a street light in as it makes star gazing from the deck difficult due to the light.

Friends vacation

Location Location Location! If you want beach this is the best spot ever. Centrally locationed it was awesome to be able to go either direction on 101 and be back home for sunsets.

Wonderful beach getaway!

This house was perfect! We were steps from the beach… and watched the sunset every evening! The porch is lovely and faces the ocean!! The house is a bit outdated but the beds are comfortable and all the appliances worked. The house was clean and had plenty of extra towels and blankets. Very roomy! We will be back! Thank you for the wonderful stay !

Quiet getaway with a view

The house was clean and had a great view. Very easy access to the beach. Only cons were that the downstairs beds were not very comfortable and the housekeeping staff was shorthanded which delayed check in by 2 hours. If some trees and brush along the beach line could be cut down shorter would improve the overall view. There were plenty of items in the kitchen to cook any meal. It was also nice to have several tables and chairs out on the balcony and plenty of seating indoors also.

Wonderful sunsets

Great location, quiet, and plenty of room! The beach is not crowded and only a few steps away. Great puppy paradise! We had a bit of trouble getting due to a mix up with the door and key codes. Thankfully the neighbor new the managers direct phone because we were holding on the property line for 30 minutes. We were disappointed that there were not extra trash bags. Only two were provided which was not enough for a family of 5 for 3 nights. The outlets outside on the deck didn’t work and some of the ones inside didn’t either. All of the appliances worked and there were plenty of pots and pans. We would have preferred it to be a bit cleaner. The windows were dirty and so were the inside window panes. There was a bag of dog food left in the floor in the kitchen and dog hair on one of the blankets. We ended up doing some cleaning up and didn’t let it bother us. Overall we had a nice stay.

The house was great. The bedrooms and bathrooms were clean with fresh sheets and towels. The living area had plenty of seating. The kitchen was a little “tired” but it had everything we needed. The entry without carpet was very useful , as were the washer and dryer. We used the hose outside several times a day on the dog and kids. The view from the living room and deck was lovely. The location was perfect for walking to the beach with little kids. It was just a few minutes drive to “downtown” Rockaway Beach. Cons: steep stairs to pack all the food supplies, suitcases etc. to the upper level. Some of the games had missing pieces.

Love this home

Ok so I always say this to start, we always come to Rockaway and I read every review and write one for every place we rent. This was probably one of my faves so far out of maybe 8 we’ve stayed in. Let me start with the very minimal negatives. Close to the highway so you can hear the traffic which did not bother us until about 7 am when we were waking up, plus we had the windows open. Close them and u can’t hear it. The train goes by a few times a day, no big deal unless someone’s is napping mid day, it might wake them. Otherwise we enjoyed hearing it. Ok so on to the good stuff…right across the front yard is beach access. No rocks to climb, Maybe 50 feet across the grass and then another 30? Down a sand path and you’re on the beach. The house does share a front yard (the other house is further back) and a driveway, google maps will take you around front, you have to go back to go up the driveway. The beds were so comfortable, clean, smelled fresh and lovely. Vacasa has always given us a great clean environment. We had two 11 year olds who had the entire downstairs space to themselves, like their own apartment. They loved it. The upstairs has three couches as pictured, plenty of room for everyone. Kitchen has everything, silverware, pizza cutter, cookie sheets, coffee pot, steamers, pot holders, u name it. A few basic supplies like salt, pepper. There is a charcoal bbq on the porch, but we brought our own so can’t comment on it except that it was there. The sliding doors upstairs, there’s two that open out so u have a great big open air space were fabulous. Also this home provides shampoo and conditioner in bottles that hang on the shower walls, so enough for everyone. The balcony upstairs has a sign that only 10 people max can be on it, so keep that in mind. It might be a little pricey to rent, but u get what u pay for, and I would stay here again any time. You can see the ocean from that upstairs balcony, hear the waves crashing. A deer came through the yard, and a bat flew in those open sliders late one night which was very exciting but he let himself out the same way he came in. We loved the whole trip.

Perfect for a large family!

Perfect home and beautiful view! Our two grown kids and their families enjoyed the beach for a mini getaway for my birthday. We had everything we needed. The kids enjoyed the ping pong table when they weren’t enjoying the beach and views. Kitchen had everything we needed to prepare our meals. Comfortable beds and lots of extra blankets. I have nothing negative to say about this home. We are hoping to make this a tradition and would absolutely stay here! Thank you!

A very good option for a large company

Thank you so much! We had a wonderful time staying here with our large group. The house was cozy and convenient for everyone. It’s spacious, with two kitchens on the first and second floors, meaning two refrigerators—a great setup for bigger groups. The location is perfect, just a short walk to the beach. The house was very clean and well-stocked with plenty of extra towels, blankets, and throws. The kitchen had everything we needed for our stay. We especially loved the stunning ocean view from the deck and appreciated having a charcoal grill for outdoor cooking. We would gladly come back again!

A variety of spaces to accommodate plenty of guests, nice cozy hangout spots, excellent deck for when the weather's nice and a wood stove on each level for when the weather's not!

Great Location, Great View, Great Stay

This house was a perfect setting for a long weekend at the beach. There is adequate room for 10 people to sleep as well as additional yard space for friends to day-visit. The proximity to the beach was excellent. The view from the living room was lovely - looking out at Twin Rocks.

The property was perfect no problems at all!! The views from the balcony were awesome!! The house was so easy to just relax and feel like you were at home! Management checked in via text frequently which was great I knew if there was a problem they would be on it!! Thank you for a great vacation!

Great place with a beautiful view

Perfect location overlooking the beach. Our group of 10 had a wonderful time there. The upstairs was awesome for a large group to hangout, cook, and chill on the deck. Would definitely stay here again.

Great location and price

The location of the house is perfect and fit us very nicely. A few things would have been helpful . Some window cleaner and a squeegee so we could enjoy the view more. A working washing machine. Some extra toilet paper. One of the two coffee pots is not functioning, carafe is wrong for the pot, and should be removed. It caused a big mess on day one. I will put a note on it and leave it on the counter. Mike repaired the sliding door track somewhat, but it should be cleaned and sprayed. When we used the oven the smoke alarms went off several times. A few more hangers for towels and jackets would also be terrific.

Great location, amazing beach, plenty of room for everyone

This home is located in a quiet area just south of the center of town. The beach is beautiful and much quieter than in town. The view from the house is gorgeous. The house had everything you would need in the kitchen and was well appointed. It could use a little bit of updating, but overall there was plenty of room for everyone, and a great time was had by all!

Good for our family gathering, nice open living space and extra fridge is helpful. Yet the house is older, musty smelling, all the beds/futon need updating, all the towels smell musty too and we ran out of toilet paper. The deck and view of the ocean are lovely

Cozy and Comfy

Great house! The main floor is so open and comfy, everyone can be together. Awesome view, so close to the beach. Nice location, end of the road so felt very private. Some things are a little dated, but it’s super casual and felt nice and homey. Kitchen is well equipped, with tons of dishes, silverware, pots & pans, etc. The only thing lacking was large serving platters, but we made do. We’ll be back!
