Renters beware. Stay away unless you want to pay to repair this mans vacation home.
Me and my friends every year for 8 years straight, take a fishing. We are all 30+ all of us married most of us with kids. We cleaned up more than most as we were leaving. Vaccumed the carpets, swept off both decks even mopped up the kitchen floor and i personally scrubbed off the dock to remove any evidence that we were fishing. Scrubbed off the grill cleaner than it was when we got there and set him a picture as was required. His response was to "please clean the grill again". Threw all towels in the washer as asked. Basically left the house cleaner than when we arrived. After a couple days i get a message that he is charging me extra for damage that we flat out did not do. Said he found superglue in a sink when no one at the place had any glue. Said he found hot spots on his kitchen table from not using hot pads. I personally did all the cooking and always used hot pads and never used the kitchen table. Those hot spots were there when we arrived. Somehow claimed we damaged the fireplace glass tint and no of us even know the place had a fireplace. Charged me for a towel that had a dime sized discoloration and he's charging me to replace it when we diden't wash the towels his cleaning lady did. The only thing we may have been guilty of was not using a coaster so an end table had a water ring that could take 5 min to clean. This man is a scam artist. Don't rent this place unless you are willing to scrub the floor with a tooth brush.

This is a rather surprising review in light of the photographs of damage we sent. We had all new towels this year. We have a meticulous cleaning lady that goes above and beyond to ensure the place is in tip top shape. She cleans very thoroughly and notices things. In this case, the new towel was discolored by bleach, the table had water marks. An end table was damaged by heat (how does that happen?). The fireplace glass was damaged. The cleaning lady found super glue on the solid surface sink. My family stayed there immediately before this guest so I know it was not there then. We try very hard to maintain a 5 star destination. Our reviews over the last 12 years reflect we succeed at that. I would suggest this review be read in that context.

Beautiful view and house
The view of the lake from the house and even to dock are beautiful. This house has tons of room for multi families to each have their own space. Kitchen and dining room was big enough to fit everyone as well. The house was stocked with plenty of amenities. Grill was pretty decent to cook on too. We spent a lot of our time on the dock or in the water. Concrete dock tiles were great, better than a wood deck during the hottest days. The dock was also equipped with the best stairs/ladder for getting in and out of the water. Nice deep water for jumping and diving. During busy days the water can get pretty choppy. My family and I would definitely stay here again!!

Family Gathering
We had a great stay at this beautiful home on the lake! The house is equipped with everything you need for comfort and convenience while you are there. It was really nice having two refrigerator/freezers and the ice makers were an added bonus. The swim dock was great and there was a boat slip with power. We were looking for a quieter part of the lake so we appreciated that people in the nearby houses were respectful and not disruptive. You don't have to travel too far by boat to find places to eat, drink, or listen to music. The only thing we would have liked is some sort of a path to walk/hike on. The dirt road leading to the cabin was obviously very dusty and there was no shoulder or sidewalk to walk on. We did visit Lake of the Ozark State Park and Ha Ha Tonka State Park but it was a pretty good drive to get some hiking in. The owner was nice to work with and communicated well.

Breathtaking
This property was amazing. There were 8 adults and 6 children and we had plenty of room for everyone. The property was very clean and well equipped. The kids and us adults had a great time at the dock, swimming and taking in the sun. The view from the house was wonderful too. Plenty of things to do and not once did any of the kids say "I'm bored". The owner was very helpful and attentive. I highly recommend this property and would stay again.

Memorial Day Weekend!
We had 8 of us in our group, made up of family and friends. This house provided exactly what we were looking for. There was plenty of space both upstairs and downstairs, including the decks. The house was very clean and well equipped with everything we needed to be comfortable and to enjoy our meals and time together. The view of the lake was great! We also enjoyed swimming and floating off the dock. The owner was very helpful with making suggestions for best places to go on the lake and the nearby area. We will definitely return!

Quite family getaway
Eight adults enjoys long weekend during the off season, just fishing and playing games. Plenty of room for everyone. Kitchen well stocked as we cooked a lot. Windows and deck are in great need of a power washing. Hard to keep clean but there were tons of bugs and filth on the windows and doors. We’d rent this place again. I suspect during the summer the boat activity would be very busy but fishermen seem to search the area out all day.

Thanks Karen, Sorry about the bugs and dirt in the windows and outside deck. As it was the end of the season, you saw an accumulation that does not typically exist through the summer. The boat traffic in our cove is not bad during the summer and it is no wake for boats 40' and over. I am glad you had a good time and would return. We look forward to it.

Great Family Time at the Lake
Great lake house. Our family, six adults, spent a week at this beautiful house. The house has a great layout with two decks with terrific views. The dock was great for swimming, floating and just hanging out. Also your just 5 minutes from Jolly Rogers. My family and I really enjoyed our stay. Love to come back next year.

Parents 50th anniversary get away
We had a great time staying for my parents 50th anniversary celebration. The family was able to get together after a year off from covid restrictions. We were able to boat two days, kids enjoyed swimming off the dock, we fished every night. Catching some of the biggest catfish we have ever seen..one weighing 13 lbs. there were a few hiccups with the bugs/spiders outside but that’s expected for that area. The tv was a little confusing to figure out but was able to call Stuart and get it figured out. He answered every question I had. The only thing we would reconsider is the steps. My older folks had a time with them. But once down to the dock it was very nicely setup with chairs. It rained the first day for half the day. But the weather was nice and clear the next days for Labor Day weekend. Stuart had a few requests for checkout day which were I would consider the normal cleaning up after yourselves. If your looking for a comfortable homey great location home. This is it!

The house was very well set up with the exception of the overly complicated entertainment center that took days to figure out. The first and second floor decks were very nice with fans, lights and a great view of the lake. The dock was a great place to hang out at all day long. The Adirondack chairs were awesome to sit and bask in the sun. The dock was also equipped with a large ladder for getting in and out of the water which was 25' deep. The second boat slip was nice with room for our 19' boat and wave runner. The only drawback was there were no cleats to moor the boat . The only negative I would say was that the house was very poorly cleaned. We washed all the sheets, some of the towels and all bathroom rugs. I talked with owner and he said that he had recently switched cleaning services and wasn't sure what happened. We found Tide pods put in the liquid detergent tray in the washing machine so apparently the cleaning person didn't know how the washer worked. This house would be 5 stars in my book if it were cleaned sufficiently.

Girls Getaway
We were in town for a girls weekend. It was one of the most relaxing weekends I have had in the last few years. That side of the lake is so peaceful, not much noise at all! The house had plenty of space for all of us. The mattresses were a big hit, many of the girls kept saying how great they slept and how the mattresses in this home was so much better than the ones they had at their own home. I would most definitely stay here again!!!!!

Very accommodating!
We rented this property as a work leisure trip for our small business employees & their families. It had everything we needed for cooking, cleaning & sleeping! The large deck is wonderful for hosting and the home was very clean. Would definitely stay again! The hosts were responsive& understanding about a situation that occurred. We enjoyed our stay!

Stuart Morse was a very helpful host. He made sure we were fully informed and went out of his way to accommodate us. The property is as pictured and is fairly well taken care of considering it is rented continually. The cleaning crew could be quite a bit more conscientious, but I don't think this reflects on the owners. Overall, the property is a good one and we enjoyed our stay immensely.

Amazing Experience - Home away from Home!
Stuart is an amazing host - kind, cooperative, and responsive. House is amazing, just right for our troop of 4 adults and 5 kids. It has all the amenities expected from a cozy home-like rental. Located just a few miles from Village Marina (Bombay Boat Rentals provides a discount to renters). Stuart will himself tell you, the internet is not the best on property so use this time for Digital Detox or carry your hotspot device and you'll not be disappointed. Overall, really enjoyed our stay and hope to relive the beautiful memories in a future visit.

We used the house with some friends to getaway for my Girlfriends Birthday and everyone had a great time. The house was spacious, clean, plenty of comfortable places to sleep, plenty of bathrooms, the decks are large, and there’s plenty of parking. WONDERFUL!!
Our stay at this property was WONDERFUL! No other way to describe it. The location on the lake is perfect for families. We spent hours on the deck, jumping in the lake and fishing. The house was beautiful - well furnished, clean, well stocked and lots of room to spread out or spend time together. Stuart was a wonderful host - checked in with us multiple times, offered suggestions for boat and jet ski rental, fishing charter and more. We can't wait to return next year! The property worked well for our family. I appreciate that every couple/kids had their own bath. The boat slip is well setup and does a nice job of preventing damage to your boat. The area does see some skier activity so use your fenders. The covered patio has lots of fans so enjoying the decks is peasent even on a warm day. Would rent again.

Great place for families. Bunk was great for kids. Swim dock and decks were wonderful with pretty lake views. Nicely decorated. Minuses were washing machine was not great. Dryer took forever. Ice maker jammed several times and was time consuming and messy to clean up. Bathroom towels very shabby. Five people cut/stubbed their toes on trundle frame. The sharp corners of breakfast scratched my arms 3 times. Very sharp! Overall, a good place to stay.

Hello, thanks for the review. We plan on purchasing new towels for next season. The washer and dryer always have worked well before, but we will have them checked. The ice maker is new and under warranty so we will have that checked as well. Yours is our first complaint with that. I am not sure what to say about the trundle. It is a metal frame on the floor that slides under a lower bunk. Not sure what the “breakfast” is that you scratched your arm on. Please drop me an email so I can look at it. We are glad you enjoyed your stay overall.

What more could you need?!
This is our second time staying in the Morse's home. Its a large 4 bedroom home . with everything you need. Three of the bedrooms have king beds and the fourth has a bunk bed. There are two living rooms one upstairs and one down , and two porches with incredible views of the lake. Also, the kitchen has plenty of space to cook in. The dock is where you will love to spend most of your time. Perfect spot for lounging, getting some sun, fishing or jumping in for a swim. Even a slip to tie your boat if your bring one or rent one. Our kids spent most of their time there. Stewart is a wonderful host. He responds quickly and is a pleasure to work with. I would highly recommend this home as your vacation home if your planning a trip to the lake. What more could you need! Julie R.

Family/Friends trip
The property was perfect! The pictures don't do it justice. Great location for relaxing and not too far from most of the attractions that you would want to visit. The dock is top notch in a cove that wasn't overly busy. We took our boat. Unfortunately, it had some mechanical issues that needed to be repaired . The owner went way out of his way to attempt to resolve these issues from local repair shops. We would definitely recommend this property to anyone! We just hope it is available for the next time we decide to visit.

Perfect location for family vacation
We filled the house for a family get-together and vacation. The house is located close to the fun areas of the lake and has a perfect layout for larger gatherings. The outdoor areas are wonderful and include great views of the lake. The dock sits in good water and provides a great location for sunbathing and swimming. The owner is possibly one of the most responsive we’ve encountered. If you’re looking for a location for family to gather, this is it.

We enjoyed a 3 night stay with 2 other families. House is very clean and well kept. Perfect for our group of 11. Nice to have two living areas but most of the time we were on the main floor kitchen/family room. Great sound system so take DVD’s and enjoy a movie before bedtime. Covered porches were wonderful, as it was raining when we arrived. Swim dock was great. We brought a lily pad and kids swam all day. Enjoyed early morning/evening fishing although we did not catch a lot. Was not aware there was a fridge on the 2nd floor....came in handy for all our drinks, extra bag of ice, etc. Stuart, home owner, was great to work with and very quick to respond. Would definitely rent his beautiful home again.

My family and I had a great time at "YOUR BEST VACATION EVER". The location was perfect for us, away from the main channel, in "Indian Creek Cove" but still close enough to some bars, restaurants and gas stations. FYI, Coconuts Caribbean Beach Bar and Grill has the cheapest gas in the area on the water. We rented a wave runner from them too. Very reasonable. The house was perfect for us. There are not enough beds to sleep15 but the couches were pretty comfortable. We also brought a air mattress. The boat slip and dock were awesome. The water right off the dock is 20' deep. Perfect for jumping right in. The house has everything you need to prepare your meals. No doubt he bugs are bad (your pretty much done outside by 9pm) but we had fun inside regardless. Great movie selections, games and cards. The Dollar General store at Y and W has almost everything you need for the week with the exceptions of a few groceries. We went to Gerbes in Eldon. Local place with great prices (fruits and veggies not so great). Stuart was awesome to work with. We would defiantly go back.

Staying at the Lake of the Ozarks is about the water to me and the house has great family friendly water. The dock has a terrific swim platform and ladder great for grandkids getting in and out. I rented a tri-toon for the week and the additional slip is terrific for this. The house is well laid out and was sparkling clean. The open upstairs is perfect for family meals and a respite from the heat. A nice selection of kids DVDs as well. Also a Weber grill with gas back-up is a big plus to me that isn't always found. Wonderful Vacation!
Stuart's house on the Lake of the Ozarks is beautiful and well equipped. It was great to have 2 refrigerators (and even a wet bar downstairs) and all the appliances were new including the washer dryer. We had plenty of space for our two families and grandkids. Everyone enjoyed the swimming dock and opportunity for fishing. We had room to park our trailer before heading down to the house, and the public boat ramp was really nice and convenient. Communication with Stuart was excellent. Only problem we had was the internet speed for streaming was slow and lagged a bit (especially if both upstairs and downstairs are trying to stream their favorite shows at the same time). But regular satellite TV worked fine. The upstairs living area has an apple TV, DVD player and surround sound that is awesome. Downstairs also has a nice TV and old playstation. If you want to catch a movie, check out Marcus Theatres in Lake Ozark. they have $5 movie tuesdays with free popcorn if you sign up for a free rewards account, and no fee online ticketing where you select your seats. Thank you Stuart and Carla for sharing your home with us! Highly recommend staying here for a relaxing vacation!

What a great vacation home!
We thoroughly enjoyed our time here! Stuart is a pleasure to deal with - very responsive, had great suggestions for us and thought of all the details to make for a great home away from home. There were 10 of us - two families - so four adults and six teenagers and the house was perfectly situated for us with 4 bedrooms and two living areas. The back decks and boat dock/swimming pier were the highlight! We spent hours upon hours back there. Stuart suggested several boat rental companies and we ended up going with Bombay and they give you a discount if you mention the owners name you are renting from. House was very clean and well appointed. Two cautions - the entry road is very steep so be ready for that and don’t leave the doors open, the bugs are plentiful! We have stayed a lot of places through VRBO and this was one of the best! Highly recommended!

Great Location and property!
We enjoyed a ladies weekend relaxing at this beautiful property. Spent lots of hours floating off the swim dock, played card games in the evenings, and ate lots of yummy food. There was plenty of space for all of us to sleep and plenty of space for food storage as well as everything you need to make meals at the house. Owner was very prompt with all my questions regarding the house. Will definitely go back and many of us want to rent this space for family vacations in the future.
