Good place to stay for a couple of nights. Elevator is a plus if you’re traveling with bags as the rooms are located on the 3rd level (4th floor). The breakfast is simple but good, Maria makes each coffee individually. I had a croissant and coffee about two blocks away on the first day and paid 10euros so definitely a money saver. There was juice, coffee, different various pastries, a different fresh fruit each day, deli meats & cheeses. Water pressure was great! AC available, quiet building, large towels, and hairdryer so all the basics available. Maria is the best! Her English is limited but you will soon find out it’s also unnecessary when communicating with her. She absolutely was a joy to interact with every day and the epitome of hospitality. As mentioned in previous posts, she is the one person who runs this day in and day out so patience is a must but nothing out of the ordinary. Interaction with her is as much or as little as you’d like. Staying and having Maria there each morning during breakfast hours made it feel more like you were stopping by to visit a family member. Gracias Maria!

Good place to stay in a nice area of Rome for a couple of nights. The room was small but comfortable and met our expectations. The air conditioner worked well and the bed was comfortable. The mini fridge did not seem to be very cooling but kept our water bottles cooler than room temperature. We met Maria upon check in who was very helpful especially considering the language barrier. She also took care of us for breakfast which was simple but adequate. Overall a pleasant stay.

I am genuinely stunned that anyone responsible for preparing a hotel room for paying guests could leave it in the condition. If I could bottle the overpowering perfume odor of this room and share it, no explanation would be necessary. It was nauseating I can only wonder what it was intended to mask. Then there was hair scattered throughout the unit, a disgusting unidentifiable spill beside the bed that had not even smeared as if someone had attempted to clean it, a crumpled up tissue under the edge of the bed. Apparently, basic housekeeping is optional here. We left the window open and ran our mini travel fan for 5 hours in an attempt to clear the scent. I have traveled extensively, and I cannot remember ever feeling this grossed out by an accommodation. What makes it even more astonishing is the 8.6 guest rating. On what planet does this property deserve an 8.6? Maybe out of 100, but not 10. I rely on reviews when choosing accommodations, and this experience has seriously undermined my confidence in them. I am not expecting luxury, I am expecting a clean room, basic sanitation and the assurance that someone actually bothered to prepare the space before accepting my money. DG Prestige failed spectacularly at even these most basic expectations. My advice to fellow travelers-do not mistake a high review score for a guarantee of cleanliness. I wish someone had warned me or had been at the property at all to address the issues when notified. Absolutely gross.
