DO NOT STAY HERE. Prior to arrival, the hotel was paid in full. Upon arrival, the front desk stated that the tourist tax must be paid in cash & card would not work. He instructed my husband to find an ATM & would not allow us to check in until it was paid. After walking to 3 ATMs we were able to find one that was working. Checking in, the staff made a copy of our passports & informed us that EVERY TIME we exited the hotel we must return the room key to the front desk. This seemed a bit strange to us, the staff stated that the key is better left with them. Everytime you would request your key back, the staff would have to reactivate the key for you (sometimes forgetting & you would have to go back downstairs for reactivation). The staff would also act like they are doing you a favor, many times too busy on their phones to greet you while tossing your key back. On the second day of our stay, our room was “cleaned” & only one of two towels were replaced. I asked the front desk staff if we were able to get an additional towel since we only had one towel for two people. The staff member went in the back behind the staircase where the clean towels are stored & stated that she did not have one additional towel to give me & that the towels back there were for tomorrow. We found another hotel & upon leaving I asked for a receipt, however the staff could not find any evidence of my stay, & told me that she could email me a receipt tomorrow. Terrible place, terrible experience.
