Very satisfied for a budget hotel! The room was very clean and spacious, the beds were comfortable, and the bathroom was great. Also, I really appreciated the location which was on a main street with great shopping, but still quiet area. Close enough to the train station by walking (10mins) and the main attractions like the colosseum / Trévi fountain (20mins). Theres also easy public transport buses across the street which was convenient if we didn’t want to walk (we used the CityMapper App). The only negatives for me was that the reception for check-in was relocated to a different hotel 4 blocks away which was inconvenient. All in all, I would stay here again.

We had the most wonderful stay here with our toddler!!! I didn’t know I had originally booked a suite that was on the one floor they didn’t have an elevator too and they upgraded us as a surprise because they knew we’d have my toddler and stroller in tow! This place has so much beautiful character inside and out, staff was very friendly and helpful. It’s just a short walk to the store and train station making it really easy to take day trips to other places like junfrojoch,lauterbrunnen and interlaken The views from our room were breath taking. The breakfast and dinner restaurant were delicious. We would’ve stay here a whole week if we could’ve!

Having read some of the previous reviews, we were very pleasantly surprised by the efficiency of the staff at the check in hotel, and even more surprised by the hotel Regina Giovanna. It was very easy to find, on the first floor of a lovely Italian apartment block. The room was very comfortable, very clean, great location, near to shops, restaurants, and the station. Would certainly stay again.

After a long flight and travelling in the heat through Rome, we arrived at hotel Regina Giovanna only to find there is no reception desk. Just a door with a message saying we had to take a 10 minute walk to the sister hotel to do the check-in. This was not mentioned when we booked the hotel and it was really annoying. Once in our room, we found it to be very pleasant, very clean and just what we needed as a base for our visit to Rome.

Room was clean. Cleaned daily. Location was great. Friendly staff. However, check-in was far from the actual hotel, though it was a 5min walk, it was still a struggle while carrying luggages.

Hotel was in a beautiful historical building, it shares the building with over hotel, you check in at the golden tulip parim hotel about an 8min walk, they give you the code of the door and your key. They were very nice. The room was a decent size for a twin bed, the bathroom was clean and modern with good size towels. There were a couple of things I noticed with the room, the table was pretty but broken (a bar missing underneath), some veneer was missing from the bedside tables. There was a lockable fridge which doubled as a safe! Which was a great feature. The rooms were kept clean, however we were only given a single duvet without a cover for one of the beds for the first night, the second night it was at least out in a cover for one of the beds, the 3rd night it disappeared altogether. The sheets and pillow were clean and good quality, the beds firm but very comfortable. The hotel is in a good position for walking to many historical sites (better enjoy hills). Trevi fountain, pantheon, colosseum all within reasonable walking distance, with other sites not much further It was a good trip, central location for a reasonable price

Before you read any further this is not a hotel with facilities. It’s a room in a block. If you’re looking for room service, ironing etc - not for you. If you’re looking for convenient, comfortable within walking distance of everything with great places to eat, drink and shop on your doorstep it’s great. Could do with supplying glasses for water but otherwise not much to fault - we would stay there again

As others have mentioned check in is at another location. Be sure to message them in advance, as I did, to minimize confusion. That said the room was excellent and a good value ... there is daily maid service if desired but otherwise it's nice and quiet, no one to bother you but no other services either. Sort of a hotel/Airbnb mashup. Location is outstanding along Via Nazionale with subway a block away and a plethora of bus lines out front. Was perfect for me ...

Reception was excellent, in a 4 star hotel. But totally different location than where this Giovanni is located. Maybe about 5min walk. When finally found the room, it was in a good condition. Only minus was the smell from savage system. It was not ok. Despite location in busy street, it was queit place to sleep.

We didn't actually stay in Hotel Regina as the room had not been made ready. However, the Golen Tulip Hotel, where we had to check in, as an apology arranged to provide us with a beautiful room with them and eventually collected us and our cases and here we enjoyed a very comfortable stay. There was an unfortunate disturbance on the first morning, as refurbishing work was carried out which woke us and continued to do so for over an hour. It was sorted and we would certainly book the Golden Tulip in the future.

Hotel good for a city break.

I went for a city break for a couple of days. Good hotel to use if you just want somewhere to sleep. It was clean. However, the reception is a couple of minutes walk from the hotel and the room was warm, there is air con but the best at working. Other than this it was ok and very secure - the night guard checked where we were going and then we had to enter a code into the hotel. The service at the reception was good and the receptionist was very helpful in directing us where to go and how to contact someone if we needed anything. Close to Roma termini and about. 15 min walk to Trevi Fountain or Colosseum. Metro for Vatican City is just at the end of the road so very convenient.
