No USB connections for charging phones and so on if you are from the US Good location for getting around. We walked from the train station and to sites like the colleseum. Lots of places to eat nearby. The wooden elevator was interesting.

Honestly, do not stay at this property unless you have no other options. It is located inside a building with other properties. Pictures of the rooms on the website are misleading. The front desk clerk wasn’t very helpful during our stay. The room was a double accommodating 3 people. The condition of the room was in bad shape because the walls were dirty, there was paint peeling and holes in the walls, the chair was filthy and torn, the wooden blinds were dirty, the batteries on the remote for the air conditioner unit had to be replaced upon our request. The bathroom soap holder was rusty. We ran out of hot water after 1 shower and the bathroom door wouldn’t stay open. The only positive comments are the bathroom was clean and the sheets were clean. If you book this property, it’s is about a 1o-15 minute walk from the Rome Termimi station and be sure to have a map (highlighting all the streets and some landmarks to help you navigate) or use a GPS app on your phone for directions. We did not pay 10 euros per person for the continental breakfast since it was located in a small room off the reception area with no seating and very limited selections. The price we paid on Expedia when we booked 3 months earlier was 50 Euros more than the rate available the day of our arrival. The clerk would not give us a partial refund for the conditions since we used Expedia. We are experienced travelers in Italy and do not recommend HS unless it’s the only choice available to you.

I received a message from the hotel days prior to our arrival to confirm what beds for our room. I reiterated the email confirmation. On arrival we were told 'theres been a problem' and they didn't have a room for us and was instead redirecting us to another hotel, which was apparently an 'upgrade' Air con didn't work, hairdryer didn't work, TV didn't work, shower didn't work, and one of the flush buttons on the toilet didn't work and the one working one kept getting stuck and the toilet was constantly dispensing water and making odd noises every few minutes. Nor did the beds match what we reserved despite getting confirmation prior to arrival. After our first night we notified reception of the issues with the air con, shower and toilet. They sent someone up and Aircon was now working but then we were told the toilet and shower would be resolved on Monday which was the day we were departing. (This was all on a Saturday) Reception didn't follow up with any of this with us. Considering this was a 4 star 'upgrade' was overall disappointed. I've stayed in lower star hotels with more working amenities and the basics working. Wouldn't recommend and if we went back to Rome or anywhere that has Bazar Hotels, I would be avoiding Hotel Sonya, Hotel la Griffe/Bazar Hotels.

Upon arrival they had no room for us. We had 2 rooms booked for 6 people after a 12 hour flight and 1 hour drive we got to hotel and were told no room. They sent us by cab to another hotel and that hotel was the wrong place. Then got sent to a third hotel. It was very stressful. No idea what hotel or rooms were like.

Our stay at Hotel Sonya was nice. The bed and pillows weren’t comfy at all. They do have a small elevator that was nice so we didnt have to lug our bags up stairs. Staff held bags until check in and showed you to your room at check in which was nice.

Nice stay. However on leaving we left a hoody in the wardrobe. Rang the hotel (and we could go back to collect) and they said it was not found. disappointing as it was defiantly left in the wardrobe.

It was a reasonable room very good bathroom facilities. Little dated. Still in winter mode so no air con available which did leave the room a little warm. We had tea and coffee making facilities but no tea/coffee. Carrefour over the road though. Staff helpful, breakfast is at a cafe around the corner choice of pastry, scrambled eggs & bacon/omelette, coffee and juice. Easy as a base to get around the city. Plenty of places to eat nearby.

Hotel Sonya is a wonderful place to stay . Staff are always so welcoming and helpful . The rooms are always clean with plenty of space . Great location ! Easy short walk from Termini Station. Lots of restaurants nearby and a grocery store across the street. The beautiful Opera House is also across the street . It is easy to walk to all sites and if you don’t like to walk buses and underground metro are close by . I can also recommend their sister hotel the “ Suite Opera Rooms “ which is a few minutes walk away . Love both places !!!! Every time I am in Rome these are the places I love to stay .
