The room was absolutely spotless. The facilities were fantastic - we were in a beautiful room with views of the Borghese walls - perfect location and lovely street outside. The staff were really friendly and helpful. The breakfast was a lovely buffet mix - breakfast cereals, fruit, cakes and fruit tart, sandwiches, bread rolls of various types, sliced bread for toast, butter, spreads and jams, sliced meats and cheeses as well as nuts, biscuits and bruschetta - really good coffee machine and hot chocolate - fabulous choice offered.

Nuestra experiencia en el Hotel The Shire fue maravillosa. El personal nos recibió con una calidez y amabilidad genuinas que nos hicieron sentir como en casa. La habitación superó nuestras expectativas: impecablemente limpia y decorada con detalles encantadores que le daban un toque especial. El desayuno era excelente, con buena variedad de opciones frescas y deliciosas. La ubicación es perfecta: céntrica y estratégica, nos permitió visitar las principales atracciones de Roma cómodamente a pie, ahorrando tiempo y disfrutando más de la ciudad. Staff was amazing and helpful, the hotel is nicely decorated and kept clean daily. We received a bottle of water every day in the room and fresh fruit as well as a bottle of wine on our arrival. The area is very nice and safe with a lot of restaurants to choose from and was able to walk to all major attractions, would definently stay here again.

The only complaint was the lady at the front desk. She was rude throughout and at the end of the trip I had a lot of bags and she didn’t even offer to help hold the door open.

The hotel is cute and has a nice ubicación, can walk Via Vittorio easy, lots of restaurants around and bus and taxis. El hotel give you breakfast included and was very good. The staff very nice and helpful. It’s a really good option.

Bra hotell med kun 9 rom. Sentral men rolig beliggenhet. Stor romslig suite, pent dekorert og god standard. Hyggelige ansatte som møtte deg med et smil hver dag. Frokosten var veldig enkel men tilstrekkelig.

We had a wonderful stay at The Shire. It is a small boutique hotel. When you first arrive it can be a bit confusing. They do not have a obvious front to the hotel. Just a small sign on the side of the door next to Harry's Restaurant. If you arrive after hours press the button to be let in. Take the lift to the 1st froor. We had the large suite in the corner above Harry's. It was very comfortable. It could use a few more pieces of seating furniture in the bedroom and luggage stands, but that is minor. The staff was friendly and very helpful. The breakfast was comparable to most European breakfasts. I would definitely stay there again the next time I'm in Rome.

Small rooms, but modern and updated. I wish they had a luggage rack. That’s probably my only complaint - as you get older, you kinda don’t want to bend down on the floor to unpack . They also have a lift / elevator so that was helpful !!! it is very small so there will be climbing the steps to get the second floor, which is where all the rooms are located and the breakfast was a typical European continental. (Many of the old hotels do not have lifts .) I don’t think this hotel has been here very long as most Everything looked pretty new -very safe location as well. It’s actually a more expensive part of town and several of the tour guide and other locals commented as such. That’s not why I booked it, but I did book it based on other people’s recommendations regarding how safe it was and now I know why. La bruschetta is a very casual restaurant nearby on one of the side streets and it was very good. We ate there several times super casual and quite inexpensive.

We liked pretty much everything about our stay. The room was clean, AC worked well, the free breakfast was quite good and the front desk staff were friendly and helpful. In the evening the area around hotel was quiet and we always felt safe.

It’s a great location to stay in! Walkable distance to all the spots you want to visit and close to bus stops if you’re traveling a little bit further out. Very clean and relaxing room. 5 min taxi ride to the terminal.
