"Beautiful hotel, friendly stuff and a great breakfast "

"This hotel says it has a 24hr desk in the info. We arrived at 10pm and there was nobody there. Nobody answered the buzzer or the phone. When we contacted hotels.com they said they could not reach the hotel and could not confirm that we didn't stay there, so they refused to give us a refund... even though we booked another hotel the same night from hotels.com. I was expecting a sincere apology but instead have to go through the trouble of disputing this with my credit card. Crazy."

The rooms were very clean, safe, and well maintained as was the hotel overall. The staff spoke very little English but were very friendly. We enjoyed the included breakfasts, and there were plenty of resuraunts nearby in walking distance. "Stunning grounds, fantastic castle and winery tour and wonderful warm and friendly people that are passionate about making your stay perfect. The simera wine tasting with lunch was ridiculously great value. Topped off by a really impressive sunset over the vines, it was like they arranged everything. We went very early in the season so we practically had the Scuderie to ourselves, and there wasn’t a wedding in the castle so it was totally peaceful. Beautiful place that makes beautiful wine!"
