"Had a great night at the Myrtles. The dinner was really good had a great waiter (red hair) can’t remember his name but he was funny and attentive to every need. Beautiful plantation love the history we stayed in the woodruff room bed very comfortable worth the money felt like an apt instead of a hotel room. The tour was fun also. The only paranormal thing that happened was my husband and I smelled rose perfume and Mrs winters wore strong perfume so I think she liked the sitting area outside of our room. Only happened twice but it did happen so….. thanks Myrtles for a great night will come again!"

"Greenwood Plantation is such a beautiful and peaceful place! The property is absolutely gorgeous, and the quiet, relaxing atmosphere makes it the perfect little getaway. Breakfast was delicious, and the hospitality made our stay even better. We really enjoyed our time here and would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a peaceful escape. We’ll definitely be back!"

"Years ago, I had the opportunity to stay at Desert Plantation for an overnight business planning retreat. I remember thinking then what a beautiful place it would be to bring my family back for a weekend getaway someday. Fast forward a few years, and we finally did just that!Our family recently stayed at Desert Plantation and had such a wonderful weekend! My husband and I have six children, and the oldest two came with their spouses. We had a party of 10, and the home accommodated all of us comfortably.If you’re looking for somewhere to unplug, relax, and simply enjoy being together, this is a beautiful place to do it. The property is private and secluded, so when you rent it, it’s just your group—no other guests coming and going. We grilled by the pool, enjoyed the gorgeous grounds and canopy of live oak trees, and even had our family pictures taken while we were there. The guys were even able to watch the game, so everyone was happy!The house is a historic plantation home, so you should expect the charm and character that comes with an older property rather than a modern hotel feel. I had seen some older reviews mentioning concerns about the condition of the property and odors, but we did not experience those issues during our stay.The house was very well stocked. Each bedroom has its own full bathroom, there were plenty of towels, and the kitchen had everything we needed for cooking, eating, and serving. We really only needed to bring our food and drinks.For a large family or group wanting a peaceful, private place to spend quality time together, Desert Plantation was perfect for us. We made some wonderful memories and would absolutely recommend it! 🤍"
