Property was tidy,beds were comfortable.pool was nice and clean and staff friendly. Only downside was that the grounds were a bit unkept and large ashtrays directly outside room (patio seatingside) hadnt been cleaned out.Also bathroom fittings (sink and shower) were heavily tarnished and the basin stained/discoloured around fixtures...making the bathroom ,although clean, unappealing.

We had a really nice stay at Devonwood motel always came back at the end of the day to a nice clean room, staff were really nice. Pool was also really good but it is heated so not very ideal for a hot summers day as the first time we went in it was very hot and felt like a spa pool but they added some cold water to cool it down which made it better.

Wir hatten eine Studiosuite, 1 Schlafzimmer mit eigenem Whirlpool im Außenbereich (nicht einsehbar für andere). Das Zimmer war großzügig, sauber und ordentlich. Im Kochbereich war alles vorhanden und man konnte die Tür zum Schlafbereich schließen (kein Kühlschranklärm). Es gab einen kostenlosen Parkplatz und man musste nur eine kleine Treppe zum Zimmer hochgehen. Im Bad waren ausreichend Abestellfläche und Haken vorhanden (nicht immer selbstverständlich). Der Whirlpool war ein zusätzliches Plus. Wir schätzen zudem den kostenlosen Parkplatz und den (verschließbaren) Küchenbereich. Die Mitarbeitenden waren auch sehr freundlich. Man konnte ruhig schlafen und die Ausgangslage für Besichtigungen in Rotorua war sehr gut. Den Außenbereich haben wir nicht genutzt.

Reliable sober stop

Efficient and well maintained, no problems. Even a proper luggage stand which was otherwise rare in New Zealand. However the extremely Spartan decor / outfitting was somewhat unwelcoming.
