33 km north-west of Rovaniemi, L.Sonkajärvi 100 m (length 3 km, width 1 km), shallow, hard sand bottom, own boat. Village road between cottage and shore.

Wooden cottage, built 2009, living room/kitchen, bedroom with double bed, upstairs bedroom with two beds (120 cm wide), sleeping loft with convertible sofa and 2 mattresses. Balcony. Sauna (electric stove), washroom, toilet, glazed terrace.

Wunderschönes zu Hause

Hallo Diese Haus ist das Sahnehäubchen in einem wundervollen Land mit Wunderbaren Menschen,die einem das Gefühl vermitteln das man sich schon ewig kennt. Das Haus hat alles was man braucht und noch mehr als das was man will. Wenn wir wieder dort hingehen (was ich hoffe) würde ich wieder nach dieser Unterkunft suchen .

Casa fantástica en un sitio precioso.

Hemos pasado 3 noches en esta fantástica casa, dos adultos y un niño a principios de Diciembre. La casa es fantástica, muy bonita y muy bien equipada, tiene de todo, wifi, cuna para peques, sauna... El sitio es precioso, un bosque lleno de nieve, con un lago a pocos metros y mucha tranquilidad. Se encuentra como a 30-35 min de Rovaniemi así q no se tarda mucho en llegar, eso sí, hace falta coche para llegar.

Hidden fees

At the time of my booking Vrbo didn't had the correct info on their website and that meant hidden fees for me. It was quite a frustrating surpsrise and left an us anxious about our dream holiday. Avoid Vrbo. The property itself is nice and has a gorgeous location but it is a shame you can't rely on the information. I'll never use Vrbo again.

Fantastic house and location

We stayed for 5 days at this home. It was equipped with everything we needed for a comfortable stay. Clean and warm we spent lovely evenings together. The location was wonderful- we were lucky and saw the northern lights on the frozen lake opposite. We had some great walks from the house and found some perfect spots for tobogganing. The owners were quick to reply to any questions and were really helpful. About 1/2 hour from Rovaniemi and 15 mins from a supermarket. We definitely recommend it.
