「Avonpark House is a very good travellers rest. Comfortable and clean, our room was a reasonable size as was the ensuite. It’s a walkable distance into the centre of town. The hosts were friendly and welcoming. Good parking available and an excellent breakfast.」

「Although we almost turned around upon walking down the block towards the guest house, I am glad we stayed there. Paul, the custodian, was charming and helpful, the facilities were adequate, and access to food make a simple breakfast was nice, but every room should have a fan. 「Decent on paper, disappointing in reality. The room looked fine in the photos but fell short in person. We were on the ground floor and arrived to a strong smell of cigarettes - the throw blanket had a burn hole in it, suggesting a previous guest had smoked despite the advertised £100 fine. There was pink staining on the shower floor and the only chair had a broken spindle on the back - when I went to move it, the top rail separated entirely from the remaining spindles and I had to pop it back...

「What an idyllic delight!!! It’s an old home, but it was so comfortable! Our room was huge, and the breakfast buffet in the morning right outside our door was perfect. The tea & biscuits waiting for us in our room upon arrival were much appreciated, and I got to watch one of the most beautiful sunsets of my life over the sheep fields.」

「Certainly not the best place to stay , some serious renovations needed , damp patches, server damp around windows,broken glass on window in bathroom .radiators need a good clean extreme build up of dust .also doors and behind toilet were filthy. Shower took forever to drain and black mould in shower. The room needs a realy good overall and not just a coat of bad paint job which it looks like they do. Lampshades and curtains Al need replacing as very dusty and nets mouldy from damp around the...

「This is not a hotel. It is a house that rents rooms out. That said, it was clean and fine for a one night stay. I was not sent check in instructions, so I had to call them when I arrived to see how to access my room.」
