Heathers Treehouse Cabin

A Frame Cabin. 3 minutes to Ski Apache Road. Ride mopeds bumping in the mountain, sit at the base of the mountain and drink mimosas, fireball or bloody Mary’s. Visit the horse races or inn of mountain Gods Casino !
The cabin sleeps 8. Two bedrooms. An upstairs patio with doors opening to pine trees and a wrap around deck nestled in the pines ! Just had the deck redone and a swivel headed owl to scare the peckerwoods away ! WTch our for the bears ! They are just down the left of the deck at dusk !

Bait and switch!

We booked weeks in advance. When we arrived, Heather gave us the address to a property that we did not book. She rented the treehouse out from under us and told us she was “upgrading us” to another house she owned. It was too late to find another place to stay so we checked in to a very dirty, run down house. There was a debris-filled tub on the back deck, broken glass everywhere and the outdoor cushions were filthy. The interior was dark, dirty and dingy. We didn’t sit on the indoor couch because it was so dirty. One of the refrigerators was “just for show” and one of the showers was inoperable. Heather promised a refund, which we have never received. I was absolutely disgusted with our experience.

Pleasant Surprise

There was a snag because the property had been affected by the fires BUT Heather had another place ready and it was fantastic. We had a wonderful view and a relaxing time. Would definitely stay there again.

Super cute tree house!

We really enjoyed our experience at Heather's Treehouse. The treehouse is super cute and different from what we are used to at Ruidoso. My friends and I are from El Paso and we come to Ruidoso often for a quick get-away and a break from it all so we were looking for a different type of stay and the treehouse was perfect. Heather was absolutely fantastic communicating everything to use. We needed the Wi-Fi password and she got it to us quick. However, the cleanliness of the treehouse was not great. Yet I'm sure Heather will fix this because she is truly a caring host.
