「There was nowhere to eat. We walked into the hotel restaurant at around 6pm. The restaurant was almost empty, but were told they can’t serve us as we didn’t have a reservation. We asked if we can get room service we weee told no. We asked if we can eat at the outside terrace bar, we were told that was closed. 「We had a one night dinner, bed and breakfast stay at this pretty old coaching inn in the centre of Midhurst. The room was comfortable and clean, the pool and spa were excellent and the staff were helpful. While the quality of the food in the restaurant was good, unfortunately the service at both dinner and breakfast was poor, and we had to chase our desserts at the evening meal and had a long wait for our cooked breakfasts the following morning.
