“Clean and comfortable rooms with nice bathrooms. Good dining, lovely staff. Great outdoor space with a delightful swimming pool and outdoor dining areas. Reasonably central. Front desk staff was very helpful at finding good drivers and other transportation and accessing anything else we needed. Felt very safe and cared for as a Canadian visitor on first trip to East Africa.”

“I had a prepaid reservation, they still refused to honor the reservation, saying the ownership changed and Hotels.com should have told me. Hotels.com has been zero help, as they act as if my plans changed, yes only because the hotel would not give me a room. I had another stay planned for 2 days later, and Hotels.com will not give me a refund, as it is past the cancellation window. Yes I want to stay there, but they won't give me a room. so”

“I rarely leave negative reviews, but I feel it’s important to share my experience at Tommy’s Budget Rooms. Upon arrival, I was first given the wrong room, which had a broken shower and exposed electrical cables something that felt extremely unsafe. The bed was in very poor condition, with an unpleasant smell, and the towels provided were old and worn out. Loud music played until 4:30 a.m., making it impossible to sleep. When I approached the receptionist, he explained that he had no authority……

“1. Several items missing on arrival: towels, rubbish bin, soap, toilet paper, coat hangers. 2. Toilet did not flush properly and was not fixed during stay. 3. Flat was not cleaned and rubbish not taken away. 4. Unable to gain access on day of arrival as nobody on duty despite being notified of late arrival. 5. TV was only connected on last day. 6. Some lights not working and were not fixed.”
